Pre-recording/"Private" interviews???? Is this possible?

Pre-recorded segments? This question was asked about a month ago and I didn't see an appropriate response.

Is there a privacy option I can use for my segment until I'm ready for it to become public?

I want to interview a guest, but she's not available during the time my show is live. Can I pre-record the segment (in a private session) and set it up to play later during a regularly scheduled live community call?

If so, how do I do it?

If not, any suggestions for dealing with this situation?

Hello! If I have a call in progress, I know that participants online can use the chat feature to ask a question while the call is in progress, but how will I know if a caller has a question? Is there a feature they can use that will alert me on the host control panel that the caller has a question?

Thanks for chiming in! This is all very new to me and I've learned a TON since I've started researching. I think that I will get a mixer and use that. It sounds like all I have to do is play it from my PC and it plays right on the show. So much easier!

I looked at the Behringer Podcastudio USB Podcast Package and that sounds like it'll be a good fit for a beginner like myself...

Hi, Dr. White!

I read through these instructions that Dave posted MANY times today (I've literally been trying to figure this out ALL day) and it just wasn't clear to me. LIke I said in my original post, I really need the dummed down version of these instructions. *SIGH*

I guess in the meantime I'll keep playing with it and hopefully something clicks for me. The BTR application is just so user-friendly and accessible. It would be great to have that here when it's done being looked at by TalkShoe.

I guess what my problem is after I've downloaded all this stuff, what do I do next? Do I play the file from my desk top? Do I need to upload it somewhere? How does it play on my show?

I told you I need the dummed down version LOL

Why is it so hard to add an intro to my show?

I'm trying to prepare for my upcoming PREMIERE TalkCast and trying to figure out how to add my intro music is driving me crazy! I'm not savvy with all that softphone stuff...why is there not a way for us to simply upload music and set it as a default for intros? BlogTalkRadio has this and seeing as how this platform is much better (in most ways) that that one, why can't we do this here?

I'm really interested in adding my music at the beginning and if the easiest option is not available - attaching a file and setting it as a default - I need the dummed down version of how to do this.
