We've heard your feedback and are working on incorporating it into future releases. Until then, here are some tips:

1) Where did the Map view go?

a. It’s still there! Tap the Friends tab at the bottom, then tap the green Globe icon in the upper right and you are there! You can then tap the green List icon in the upper right to switch back to the List view. To see how, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPu9HQ... and skip to 2:10 in the demo video.

2) How is the Friend List sorted?

a. When you tap the Friends icon at the bottom of the screen, it takes you to the Friend List. Your Loopt friends are sorted by distance from you. The closest friends are at the top. Friends who don’t have a location or who are far away are at the bottom of the list. If you want a friend to update their location, select the friend, then choose the Profile tab in the upper right, then choose Ping. 3) Where did the Ping/Text/Call buttons go?

a. They are still there! Go to Friends, then select a friend from the Map or List, then tap the Profile tap (next to Journal in the upper right). To see how, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPu9HQ... and skip to 2:10 in the demo video.

4) Why is it so slow?

a. We’ve had high usage as people have been upgrading. We’re working to add capacity, and we will release a new Loopt update in the App Store soon that will make things snappier. Feel free to follow Loopt on Twitter for updates (www.twitter.com/loopt)

5) How can I learn more about how to navigate the new version of Loopt?

We are working on an update that will incorporate a lot of your feedback like:

i. Making it much faster
ii. Giving you one-tap access to the Map
iii. Making Loopt easier to navigate

The status update threshold has been noted as a possible feature addition.

You can still see when a friend last signed on in the Friend list and map views. It shows last status as well as last location. Last location is right under their name, and last checkin/status is just under that. Go to Friend tab to view the list, and then tap the Globe in the upper right for the Map view.

We will consider adding a refresh button for location. Right now, it's set to refresh itself periodically while in the application or whenever you launch it.

Thanks for the note! We're aware of this issue. There are some tweaks we need to make with the Android 2.0 API for this feature. We will release an update soon that resolves it.

Hi,

This is caused by some GPS and location issues with Verizon BlackBerry devices. We will release an update soon that should address this issue and allow for more accurate location.
