Hi,
You won't be able to share "live" location (like a bouncing dot on a map), but you can share updates along the way via our RSS feature. Each time you login to Loopt and post a status, it will let anyone with access to your RSS feed see your status update and your location. To enable the RSS feature and obtain the link, visit the address below on a computer, and login to your Loopt account.

A comment on the question "How do I change my AIM screen name?" in Loopt:
Hi. The AIM feature is being phased out of Loopt, so unless you have an older version of Loopt, you will not be able to use the AIM integration in the Loopt Settings menu.

Hi,
Without checking the account, I'm guessing that your original Loopt account was registered under another wireless company, so we're still probably trying to send your Pings and SMS messages through the other wireless company. To fix this, please visit http://support.loopt.com on your computer, choose the option to change your number, and enter your current phone number in both the old and new number fields. It will send you an SMS and update your carrier info.
Thanks,
Chris

Joseph - If you go to www.loopt.com/help and scroll down to FAQ #3 (under the GetSatisfaction "Report a Problem" box), FAQ #3 still has all our cost info and is up to date. It's titled "How much does Loopt cost?" If there's any particular info you're looking for, let me know and I'll be happy to answer.
Thanks,

LooptChris replied on November 12, 2009 21:15 to the question "Tiny profile pics in a bar above my profile -- what are they?" in Loopt:
Hi,
That's the "Recently On Mix" feature. People who sign into Mix and meet your search criteria will show up in that bar in real-time when they sign on. For example, if you have your list filtered to only view people in a certain age group and someone nearby signs on who meets that criteria, they'll appear in the Recently On Mix bar.

A comment on the question "Blackberry Tour not using GPS" in Loopt:
Thanks! I think we have a suspicion about what's causing it. We just wanted to double check your settings first. We should have a fix in our next release. If you email me at gs@loopt.com, I'll see if we can get a test build to you once it's ready.

A comment on the problem "Loopt Blackberry permissions issue" in Loopt:
Unfortunately, the app won't let you get around that one. I've seen this before on BlackBerries attached to a BES. They sometimes disable the ability for applications to modify the timer permission depending upon the BES options that are configured. Sorry, but there isn't any way around it that we know of. It's a critical permission for our app.

Hi Andrew,
When that screen pops up, hit the back key to the right of the scroll wheel and choose "save." If it's saving but still prompting you, you may have a corporate IT policy that prevents Loopt from saving the permissions it needs. The other thing you can try is going to Options->Applications->Loopt->Edit Permissions, and set everything to allow, then hit Back and Save. If that still doesn't work, it probably means you have a corporately managed BlackBerry that doesn't allow the permissions our application requires.

LooptChris replied on November 09, 2009 20:48 to the question "Storm 9530 Support?" in Loopt:
We released Loopt today on our first Verizon device (the Tour). We're working on making that version of Loopt work on the Storm models, but supporting the touch interface takes quite a bit of additional effort. Now that we're live on Verizon, we are working to support the Storm devices in a future release.
