LooptChris replied on August 01, 2009 03:47 to the question "How often does my locatin update if i am using a Motorola i425 from Boost Mobile?" in Loopt:
Hi,
Loopt can only update every 15 minutes to two hours on Boost phones, so it does not constantly update while you are walking or driving. If Loopt hasn't updated for a while, you can get it to start updating again by bringing it up on your phone's screen and going to the friend map. That will trigger an update.
Thanks,
Chris
LooptChris replied on July 30, 2009 19:06 to the question "How can I remove someone from my friend list without hurting their feelings?" in Loopt:
Yes, you can always add/remove people from your friend list. On the phone, just go to your friend list and select the friend to view their Profile. You'll see a delete/remove option at the bottom. Alternatively, you can do it from a computer using the link below. The friend is not notified, but you will disappear from their friend list and map. If you want to wipe out everything and start over, just go to www.loopt.com on your computer and click Sign Up in the upper right and re-register over top of your existing account.

A comment on the question "Map Pinpoints off by 10 miles" in Loopt:
There is an Instinct bug that causes people located along the line of latitude that includes the areas around Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, northern Tennessee, southern Virginia, etc. to have locations posted miles north of where they actually are on the phone (not on the computer). We’re working to resolve it in our next release. I requested contact via email so that we could get your private info (zip code, phone number, etc) without exposing it publicly in this forum. – LooptChris, on July 30, 2009 19:02

Hi Lester,
Sorry for the delay. We've researched this, and it seems that it's not something we can solve on our end. It's likely due to an older firmware version on your C290 that the current version of Loopt can't properly interact with. The only thing we can think to try is to upgrade your firmware. The firmware upgrade would have to be performed by Boost, and you would need to take your phone into them to have it done. The C290 is a legacy device that we've stopped developing on, so I can't promise that the firmware update will fix it, but that's our best guess based on the info we have. – LooptChris, on July 30, 2009 00:48

LooptChris replied on July 29, 2009 23:33 to the question "Why won't my Samsung Instinct import contacts into Loopt?" in Loopt:
Chris,
This normally occurs if your contact list is too large and Loopt runs out of memory, if you have contacts missing information like having both name fields blank, or if you have contacts with international numbers or characters that Loopt can't recognize. We hope to have a fix to prevent the freeze in a future version, but for now you will have to either enter the person's number manually into the invite friends screen or go to www.loopt.com on your computer and login to your account to add friends. Loopt.com will allow you to import your address book from most major email providers.
Thanks,
Chris

George - We hope to be able to support the 8350i in a future version of Loopt, but none of our current builds will work with it at this time.

A comment on the question "Loopt on Verizon Blackberrys?" in Loopt:
We've tested our application on devices without assisted location, and the user experience is very bad. The device rarely gets location unless you're outdoors, and even then it can take minutes. We simply can't release a product with that poor of a user experience. We're still working with Verizon to hopefully be able to support their BlackBerries in the future. – LooptChris, on July 29, 2009 23:25

Ok, please email support@loopt.com and include your mobile number in the message. Also, put Instinct Download in the subject so I can find it.

A comment on the question "Loopt on AT&T BlackBerry Bold?" in Loopt:
Stan - I would try this:
1) Go to this link on your computer: https://app.loopt.com/loopt/sess/memb...
2) Completely disable the Facebook link by clicking the red Disable option at the bottom of the page.
3) The page should reload. Once it reloads, click the Facebook Connect button to re-link your account.
4) After re-linking, make sure that the Update My Facebook Feed box is checked at a minimum and save the changes.
5) Go to the Loopt application on your BlackBerry and update your What's Up status and include a picture in the update. Once you share it, give it about a minute and then load your Facebook News Feed page to see if it updates correctly this time.

Ella,
Does this happen when trying to install Loopt via the method I'm listing below?
To download Loopt, go to your Home screen->Fun->Games & Apps->Get New Games/Apps and search for “Loopt” via the search box at the top. Note that although the search result says “Free Trial,” Loopt is free indefinitely, so you don’t have to worry about the trial expiring.

A comment on the question "How to add Loopt map to my webpage?" in Loopt:
Hi Kevin - You could have your page list your Loopt updates via RSS. You could also use Loopt to post updates to Twitter and then put Twitter's widget on your page to show the updates. You can setup RSS and Twitter from your account on our website at www.loopt.com – LooptChris, on July 27, 2009 22:44
