LooptChris replied on October 05, 2009 03:15 to the question "constant crashes after upgrading to donut" in Loopt:
Hi,
Thanks so much for reporting this. We're running tests here at Loopt to try and figure out what the problem is. If you see the error again, can you post the exact error message you're seeing? Also, is it happening while Loopt is up on your screen, or while it's running in the background, or both?
Thanks,
Chris
A comment on the problem "Blackberry Support Issue/Network Error Messages" in Loopt:
Rickey,
If you go to the Options icon on your BlackBerry, then About this BlackBerry (maybe under Advanced Options) it will tell you what model number you have. If it's an 8320, you won't be able to use Loopt because the 8320 doesn't have GPS capabilities. – LooptChris, on September 26, 2009 00:52
LooptChris replied on September 20, 2009 23:57 to the question "How can a parent monitor their child's location without the "ping" text messages?" in Loopt:
Hi,
Since Loopt is designed as a social networking program, it won't function well as a family finding or tracking program. The person with the phone is always in control of location sharing, and Loopt alerts the person with the phone that they are sharing their location and allows them to turn it on/off at any time. You cannot force another phone to update it's location. Only the person with the phone gets to choose when/if their location is updated.
Thanks,
Chris
LooptChris replied on September 14, 2009 20:29 to the question "Why is my phone still showing a location when I am hidden?" in Loopt:
Brandy - This means your boyfriend hasn't used Loopt in a while. If he has automatic updates turned on and is sharing location, then it will only show "no location" and no bubble if his location has expired (meaning he hasn't used Loopt in a while). If you don't use Loopt for a day or two, it will stop updating and your location is purged.
If you have your location set to hidden mode, you will be able to see your location but no one else will. This includes if you have a manual location set. It will show you where your location is on your phone, but it will not be shared with others.

Julie - If you go to the MarketPlace on your MyTouch, you should be able to find Loopt and install it. Keep in mind that if you switched from another wireless company to T-Mobile, it can take up to 30 days before Loopt will recognize your new wireless company and be able to register you successfully. We're also working to update our website to show the MyTouch as a supported phone.

LooptChris replied on August 18, 2009 01:32 to the question "Pong-ing on Android loopt" in Loopt:
Matt - Pongs happen automatically when you open Loopt after receiving a Ping from someone. You do not have to do anything to Pong someone, so that's why there isn't an option to Pong someone. As long as you have chosen to share your location with the person via the Loopt location sharing settings, the Pong is generated automatically the first time you open Loopt after receiving the Ping.
Thanks,
Chris

Brian - The Instinct and the R810 run different operating systems. We don't have any specific dates or plans we can share for supporting the R810 at this time.

The Instinct version of Loopt supports background location. We hope to be able to expand that technology to new devices in the future.

Hi,
The pictures you post using Loopt are located in your Loopt journal. You can access your journal from your phone within Loopt or on your computer by logging into your account at www.loopt.com. The photos are not stored in a singled photos folder. They are in your journal and listed based on the time and journal entry in which you included them.
Thanks,
