Hi,
In order to be charged for Loopt on Verizon, you have to download the paid version of Loopt from the Media Center. Creating a Loopt account online or downloading the 5-day free trial version does not result in a charge. If you're downloading the paid version, it will be very clear that it's going to charge you. It makes you click ok on a separate screen on the phone detailing the charge.
To delete your Loopt account, visit http://support.loopt.com on your computer. To remove Loopt from your phone, go to Media Center, then Browse & Download, and if Loopt is listed, highlight it then choose Options and Cancel Subscription. If it's lot listed, then it hasn't been installed.
Thanks,
Chris

Ok, thanks for following up. We'll have to work on a bug fix on our end then. In the meantime, it's probably easiest to use loopt.com on your computer to send invites. Sorry for the trouble. – LooptChris, on July 19, 2009 03:53

Hi,
Thanks for the interest and feedback! Loopt doesn't have any specific development timelines we can share for Windows Mobile devices. We know there are a lot of you out there who would love to use Loopt with Windows Mobile, and we're constantly evaluating new devices and platforms to see if we can support them. We greatly appreciate your patience and feedback and hope we can support you soon!

LooptChris replied on July 19, 2009 03:40 to the question "Never Ever Received A Confirmation Text!" in Loopt:
Here are a few steps that might help:
1) Are you trying to register an iPhone on T-Mobile? Though Loopt doesn't currently support iPhones on T-Mobile, some of our users have gotten Loopt to function. Check out what one of our users posted: http://davesource.com/Solutions/20090...
2) Make sure your phone is compatible with Loopt via the link below. Note that the phone model must be listed under your wireless company on this page to work. For example, not all the BlackBerry models listed on the page are supported on every wireless company. Make sure your specific model is listed under your wireless company. If it isn't, you won't be able to verify: http://www.loopt.com/phones
3) Did you recently move your number to T-Mobile or Verizon from another wireless company? If so, it usually takes 4-5 weeks for Loopt to be able to send messages to your number via your new wireless company. If you try to register again 4-5 weeks after switching to T-Mobile or Verizon, it should work. There isn't currently a way around this.
4) Are you trying to register a non-US mobile number? Loopt doesn't yet support non-US mobile numbers.
5) Try sending a text message with the word START to 29201 to reset messaging, then remove and reinstall Loopt and try registering again.
6) If you haven't tried registering from Loopt.com on your computer, try that:
https://app.loopt.com/loopt/sess/Sign...
7) If none of the above help, please email support@loopt.com with the mobile number, phone model, and date of birth you're trying to register, and we'll be happy to help.
Thanks,
Chris
