To be honest: I was hoping chi.mp would fix their OpenID implementation so I don't have to do anything, but this is taking too long now. I'll see how I can get around that problem for chi.mp accounts. – dominik, on April 20, 2009 08:53

I'm not using it with wp. ;) I'm using the latest version (2.1.2) of the OpenID library - http://www.openidenabled.com/php-openid/ - and that's where the problem is. Maybe WP switched to another library by now? – dominik, on April 13, 2009 18:50

Thanks for the quick reply! Could it be that chi.mp is not returning a assoc_type in the OpenID message? At least that's what the library seem to be looking for just before throwing the error. – dominik, on April 04, 2009 15:39

I contacted chi.mp and asked the mighty Google and it seems like chi.mp has some problems with one of the standard PHP/OpenID libraries, that I use for EagleTweet, too.
They have a rather old thread about it and I'll see what they reply to my email.

Hi, yeah, I just tried it with my chi.mp url and can reproduce your error. I'll both contact them and see what I can do about that problem on my side of the equation and keep you updated. Thanks for the feedback so far, I'm quite confident it should be possible to fix this rather quick! – dominik, on April 03, 2009 16:12
