Cannot connect Seesmic Desktop to Facebook on Ubuntu 9.04

When I try to connect Seesmic Desktop to Facebook using v0.4 (and v0.3x) on Ubuntu 9.04, Facebook reports "Security Check Failed. Logging in and requesting a session must go through the Facebook flow"

Just about to reply :-) Reviews are usually picked up within an hour.

One thing you should change tho is the LouderVoice username setting you are using in the Wordpress plugin. You are using david@tullig.net whereas you should be using DavidH.

Agree 100%! We used to have this and it got lost during V2. Top of the priority list for V3 along with simplification of tabs and settings.

It looks like something has changed recently on Feedburner which is breaking our collector on certain blogs. We should have a fix later today. Thanks for letting us know.

Unstructured reviews on Twitter or SMS which just start with "RE" are human parsed for things like title, score etc. Structured reviews of the style:
"Review Rating1-N ItemName: Opinion" are machine parsed and obviously pick out the title automatically from "ItemName"

This looks like a WP problem since all of the entries on our feeds have proper timestamps which are interpreted correctly by RSS readers. You can confirm this by looking at the source of the RSS feed you are using.

On your logged-in profile page you should see a link called "activity RSS feed". That's all of your reviews from all sources in summary. Lots of people using it in the sidebar of their blogs.

The workflow we are moving towards for bloggers is as follows:

* Wordpress.org blogs: Use our Wordpress plugin to write reviews directly on your blog. Add your blog's RSS feed as a "summary hreview by RSS" source on LV and we'll collect those reviews regularly. A summary will be shown on LV with a link to the full original on your blog.

* All blog-types: Simply tag you review-posts on your blog with "review" and "rating=N" where N is 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. Add your blog's RSS feed as a "Flag Tag" source on LV and we'll do the same as above.

We find that the various blogging platforms regularly change how they handle external posts which breaks the underlying semantic markup (hreview) when we post reviews from LV to the blogs. Therefore we'll probably be turning that feature off to save users the hassle of messed-up blog-posts.

It appears that image upload is now much more reliable too. There are some situations where there are image-scaling problems but hopefully these have been minimised. Please report any difficulties you encounter.
