Lucas J. Verheij marked one of Robert's replies in Wakoopa as useful. Robert replied to the question "How can I add my own applications to the Wakoopa database?".
Lucas J. Verheij replied on August 28, 2009 18:04 to the problem "Wakoopa shouldn't track websites open in Chrome "incognito" windows nor in IE8 "InPrivate" tabs" in Wakoopa:
There's only two reasons why one's using Private Browsing. 1. You work for the CIA or some secret agency, or 2. Porn. Since Wakoopa doesn't track the last one there's not much to worry about since the CIA guys are smart enough not to install tracking software on their devices. But seriously, it would be pretty cool and certainly would make the Wakoopa Tracker a lot more advanced. @ Nitsuga: and Safari for Mac and Windows.. The fact that there's so many means code has to be written for each individual browser on each platform.
Keir Hardie's reply to "Wakoopa as a software update notifier" was just promoted to the most useful! Lucas J. Verheij and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.
Would be good if, as has been said, it was optional, and if it had the flexibility and intelligence that current products lack that stops me using them, mainly to avoid the various sorts of false positive, some of which have been mentioned already, such as:
Version 0.99 is available! But I have Version 0.100 which is newer.
A newer version is available! But not for my OS.
A newer version of a driver is available! But not for the hardware I have, just newer models.
A newer version has been used, but it's not really 'available'.
Also I should be able to tell it 'sure there's a newer version available, but it's no longer freeware, I don't want it'.-

Wakoopa says you're new while you're not.I get this message on my homepage: 'There are not a lot of updates for you because you've just started using Wakoopa. Try to invite more contacts or look for more people.' Even when I'm member for quite some time now and have quite a lot of friends. Hmz..?
