Good question.

Yes, lyrics are tagged in the MGP, but there's hundreds of other musicological tags, so sometimes the lyrics tags can get outweighed by other traits.

It's up to you about the thumbs down. Maybe you just want to put the song "to sleep for a month"? That way the feedback doesn't affect your station definition, but you don't have to hear that song for awhile.

One thumbs down isn't going to radically change your station, but lots of thumbs downs will have a cumulative effect.

You can always give it a thumbs down, see how your station changes over time, and weigh your options. You can change your thumbs any time (by editing the station).

If it were me, I think I'd thumbs down the song. You can always add more pretty music with more upbeat lyrics to sway the station in a direction you like.

You can bookmark songs from your BlackBerry, but you have to go to the Pandora web site to see all your bookmarks.

We dropped the ball on communicating about this issue....

We started phasing out the beta desktop app a few months ago. We were never quite happy with it. Then, we accidentally broke it along the way. Ugh! So that's what you're seeing right now.

If you can't live without a desktop app, we did make a new sleek, small desktop app with no ads (so it’s only available paid accounts).

Sorry for the frustration! We should have been more clear that we were phasing out the old beta app.

No worries. You can always edit your stations.

If you're using Pandora on the web, just click on station "options" in your left-hand station menu and select "edit station details."
On the station page that opens, you can change any station seeds or thumbs feedback.
