Yes, several people come up as "moderator of LinkedIn groups" of some sort or other. We have some plans coming up to identify the "real" advisors that a company sanctions from those claiming company affiliation. For right now, we choose to show a bit more information in case there is someone of value there. Most of them are of value because even the moderators are helping people find the valuable resources about a company.

I took a look at your comment #4. The widget shows the number of people you know that work at a particular company. It shows only current members of that company, as reported on their LinkedIn profiles. You see 447 because there are advisors and investors for the company that claim that on their LinkedIn profile as current jobs. Also, a certain number of people claim unofficial assiciations with the company such as "advisor" and such. We think its valuable to include those profiles because there may be something of value for someone looking for an "in" to the company. So, for example, you might be looking to contact the company about a business deal. Seeing that you are connected to one of the investors or advisors to the company is probably the best way to get introduced.
