It's obviously an issue with Adobe's AIR version for GNU/Linux as said above. It'd be awesome if you guys could roll out a version for this, but it's totally understandable if you can't do it.

Anyway, great job with Twhirl and I guess I'll see you when Adobe launches AIR 1.5 for GNU/Linux :)

You have to create the file first:

touch ~/.airappinstall.log

Then you could follow it's contents as follows:

tail -f ~/.airappinstall.log

I created the file: ~/.airappinstall.log. Contents after trying to install:

In my case I can't even install the new twhirl version (Ubuntu 8.10 - Air 1.1b):

"The application could not be installed because the AIR file is damaged. Try obtaining a new AIR file from the application author."
