There is a great site that love's doing this: www.wix.com juts makes flash so much easer and wix hold the FLA/SWF on there server so all you have to do is put the embed code on your site

There is one way to do this go to the edit topic and ant the bottom of the post there is a "Create in Forum" click "Edit Post" and there we go one forum post moved =)

Member points & Ratings

I think that to help activity on your sites there should be a point and rating system.

We should have control of how many points each get like:

Video: 15 Points
Profile View: 5 points
Photo: 10 Points
Profile Photo (Added): 25 Points
Blog: 10 Points

and so on this will help any site with member activity and lets the members have some kind of competitiveness.

I did quickly make up what i think it may look like in firebug so what do you think.

Reply button on comments!

I would like to see a reply button on comments and if it is on a members profile the comment should be posted back to the other members profile page.

This helps keep members profiles clean and stops the "@MEMBERSNAME" having to be used.

As a site owner of a big site the "latest activity" can go mad nad i feel the some members don't want other member to see what there doing.

As well as that then you could add the "MEMBER is firends with MEMBER" back.

We sould be able to change the smilies on our sites like the defalt profile photos.

Member Added polls and quizs,

I know this does well on other sites like facebook and other sites that are like our networks
i did ask this question to the lab but know there gone i will move the idea to members of socialgo and the staff

but i would like to see the member of our site be able to make them ther self and vote on them.

(this can't be hard i did quickly make this with firebug so all i need i some one to help with the api's and we could make this our self)

Who-IM - Friend Edition?

I have been talking to my moderators of my site and we are wondering if there will be a Friend Edition of Who-IM (like a friend only chat) ?

because you are now going to be releasing a chat some time and we see the chat as more of the group chat and make who-IM just friends.

As well as that i have a lot of members online and the app just looks messy with all the members and having just your online firends would make this be tidy and stop members saying that there is know way of stoping this member talking to me.

(I did ask this question to the lab but know there packed there bags i find it more of a socialgo app)

Yes i do think some of the idea's that ngcking has put are great but some times you have to start the ball rolling.

1/ Make sure your site is on the big search engines.
(Just the big ones becuase the other ones soon follow)

2/ Have a look at the other sites that are the same as yours and see what dose well on them.
(If you what your site to do well there is nothing wrong with a little hard work)

3/ Make sure your networks Title & Description are well thought out.
(This helps you better in the search and makes others spot you out but make sure there to do with your site)

4/Have a domain!
(Domains make you pop out in the search and makes your site look like you have put the effot in to it)

5/ Do a little cheating.
(Now no one likes to be the only one on a site so if you do have a new site make up some fake members (with profile photos) and make some activity)

Follow this and your site should do well =)

(you don't always need fancy apps you have a good site)

I have been running for about six months and i have over 4k members and my actitity bord only gos up to 30 min max.
