@bramgn: as bagelcat said, Wuala looks at the file size and the modification date. If both match, it assumes it is the same file. Is it possible that true crypt prevents the modification date of the file from being updated? In that case, we have the explanation.

Just looked at it and it looks like the CRC error comes from the file system. This means your harddrive has data errors. -> I strongly recommend to buy a new hard drive to prevent data loss. Your hard drive is likely to fail soon. At least, you should check your harddrive for additional errors.

Super wäre ein Stacktrace, bei dem der Abschnitt unter "Thread: Thread[Receiver Channel..." möglichst hoch ist. Das könnte einen Hinweis darauf liefern, was Wuala macht.

Btw: ist die Festplatte ausgelastet? Wieviel ausgehender Datenverkehr besteht?

If there are still pending changes, the previous backup might still be running. Wuala does not start a new synchronization process if the previous one hasn't completed yet. Could that explain your observed behaviour?

We are currently improving the way the used storage is calculated. We will definitely be able to make sure that everything that costs you storage is shown in either your files or your group postings. However, there is no guarantee that we can remove all orphan files. The improved storage calculation is scheduled for the next update.

Die Warnung sagt, dass Wuala mehr Zeit damit verbringt, einkommende Datenpakete zu verarbeiten, als auf neue zu warten und bedeutet, dass Wuala ziemlich ausgelastet ist. Deiner Meldung nach vermute ich, dass das dauernd passiert, auch wenn du nicht gerade am was runterladen bist. In dem Fall wäre es interessant zu wissen, womit Wuala beschäftigt ist. Das kannst du rausfinden, indem du die Status website aktivierst (erweiterte Optionen zuunterst) und auf der StackTrace Seite ein paar mal refresh machst und schaust, was der Receiver Thread gerade macht. Dies kannst du dann mir schicken und ich kann schauen ob sich hier was tun lässt.

We already show the download queue when downloading multiple files. I personally quite like the Chrome way of doing this as it is less intrusive. In general, I'd rather try to improve the status message, for example by adding an ETA for all running uploads/downloads. What do you think about that approach?

It's true that files start with 1 view, but that shouldn't but them to "recently viewed". Are you sure that nobody has opened them yet? Note that the view counter has a delay, so it is not always accurate.

I need more information to resolve this. Are there any error messages or similar? If not, I have no idea what goes wrong. As a last measure, you could send me your password (luzius@wuala.com) so I can decrypt the data and see what's going on. Thanks, I'm downloading them now and will analyze the dumps. I'd recommend to delete the dumps again from the community page as they contain a complete dump of everything Wuala had in memory at that time, so someone who is technically savvy might find out things about your files (names, content, etc.) if they were in memory at that time of the dump. – Luzius, on August 27, 2009 15:29
