I moved my files that were created in Silverback 1.1 (on a macbookpro) to an iMac that has Silverback 1.0.2 on it. I used Silverback 1.0.2 to export the videos-created-with-1.1 and the sync problem still exists in the exported quicktime movie.
I've opened and watched past videos both created and exported with 1.0.2 and none of them have a sync problem. Based on this it seems that videos *created* in 1.1 are the problem.
I don't have time to do the tedius manual adjustment that Nick is doing. My videos were never paused during recording. My videos created in 1.1 are all approximately 30 minutes long. Videos created/exported in 1.0.2 in the past are all between 30 and 60 minutes long (with nary a sync problem) -- I don't have any raw session data for video created/exported in 1.0.2 because we export the data and then save/backup the .mov files and clean out Silverback.
I've now exported videos created in 1.1 multiple times, in multiple quality/size configurations on the same machine we've always used for Silverback, with nothing else running, with plenty of hard drive space available (40gb), with no internet connection on, and I can't get my recent project videos to export the way they used to in 1.0.2 without audio lag.

The new (1.1) version of Silverback *causes* this problem for me -- I didn't have this problem in previous version of Silverback. The audio starts in sync on a pip video and then slowly goes out of sync. We never had this problem with earlier version of Silverback. How can I get the earlier version and get rid of this buggy upgrade?
Anna -- I'll send you an email and upload some raw session data for you to download.-

lwaldal replied on June 16, 2009 23:01 to the problem "Files are disappearing on export" in Clearleft:
this is a new problem for me after I upgraded to version 1.1 -- I tried exporting a project that had 7 30-minute sessions in it -- it took hours to export and then there were no files in the folder that Silverback had created. then I tried exporting the files one at a time -- the dialog box would come up saying "Exporting session to ..." with correct location/filename. when it was done, and dialog box went away, there was no file. I restarted my machine and tried again, same response. Plenty of free space on hard drive (41gb) to export at least 1 30-minute session. Mac 10.5.6 on a 2.6Ghz MacBookPro with 2 GB ram.
I tried Anna's suggestion to export at a different quality and when I did that, Silverback crashed
I plugged in an external USB drive with 370GB available to see if maybe 41GB isn't enough space for Silverback's new version 1.1 to export a 30minute session (it should be enough space, but I just thought I'd see) and the same thing happened -- dialog box with "Exporting session to .." popped up, took about 15 minutes, dialog box went away and there's no file anywhere to be found.
so I tried to reproduce Vesa's report above and I can easily create and export videos that are 5minutes long or less, but not the valuable 14 project videos I created. I tried moving the files to another machine to export -- not successful. My video files for my project are being held hostage in new version of Silverback that won't export them.
This has all wasted a lot of my valuable time trying to export video for a time-dependent project.

I would also like batch export. I'm very used to using Camtasia, recording 6-30 hours of video at a time (individual 1hr recordings) and I'm currently exporting 20 videos from silverback, one at a time, and it's very very tedious time-consuming and frustrating. I can't just leave it overnight to export everything. Please please make batch export a high priority.-

I emailed orders@stresseraser.com to see if that would work to get help -- it doesn't make sense to email an orders email address for customer support
I received a response that was excellent customer service -- then I reset my stresseraser in preparation for sending it back for troubleshooting and now my stresseraser works again. Wacky -- that it didn't work despite all my reset, new batteries, before, and it works now. Unpredictable.
Here's the excellent customer service response -- seems that emailing orders@stresseraser.com is the way to get help

I have sent a return label to your e-mail. You should see it in your inbox
by the end of the day. If not, please check your junk mail and spam filter

lwaldal reported a problem in Helicor on May 19, 2008 22:31:
Helicor StressEraser stops working after 3 monthsI received a stresseraser in February 2008. As of today (May 19, 2008) my StressEraser does not work despite resetting and changing the batteries. It hasn't been dropped or otherwise damaged. It will turn on and the little dots will only march across the screen in a straight line before I get an error suggesting that I'm in sunlight (I'm not) or that my finger is pressing too hard (it's not). I reset, I change batteries, I try multiple fingers with varying pressure and no pressure, and the dots still march in one single line and then I get an error.
They have a 30day return guarantee, not 90day -- and there is no help for technical problems or contact info for them on their web site (besides a tollfree number for placing an order)
