Actually, I am running as an Admin user. The 1.0.11 installer works fine. I even confirmed this after attempting to install the new 1.1.1. It's only the new 1.1.1 installer that I'm having the problem with. In addition, I was able to manually create the folder without giving myself any additional permissions but your new installer wouldn't even create the folder.

Thanks. I had a problem installing it; it kept saying that it can't access the directory c:\program files (x86\Xmarks. I uninstalled the previous version and it still wouldn't work, even after restarting the computer. I was able to succesfully install and uninstall the old version again but same problem with this one.

Finally, I manualy created the directory and then assigned it full control permissions for all the listed users including TrustedInstaller and then it installed.

Anyway, just thought I'd let you know that so you can fix it before releasing this version. So far now that I managed to install it, it synced with no errors and it seems to have synced the Mobile Favorites folder properly. I synced to Firefox as well and Mobile Favorites folder showed up there, so, so far so good.

I will let you know if I have any problems but please take a look at the installer issue.

Hi Colin, Thanks for your response. It's not so much that I care about syncing my mobile favorites. In fact, I generally don't even use IE on the phone (I prefer Opera Mobile). It's just that the sync doesn't want to work because of the mobile favorites folder. Interestingly enough, I'm getting a more specific error message now as shown below.
As for deleting the Mobile Favorites folder, it won't let me when WMDC is running. In fact, it asks for administrator permission and then still won't delete it. Then it creates second folder with the same name, which I'm not sure how it's possible but it does. If I don't have WMDC running, it will let me delete it but will create it again next time I run WMDC. It doesn't make a difference if I have the option to sync mobile favorites selected or not; it still insists on making the folder.
One other thing I should mention is that I'm also running Firefox on the same computer with XMarks as well. I use it more than I use IE, but some sites still work better with IE so I decided to use XMarks to help keep both sets of favorites/bookmarks in sync and also sync to my other computer as well.
On an unrelated topic, this site won't let me upload pictures with IE. It says "TypeError: 'responseText' is null or not an object." I'm able to upload fine with Firefox, though.
