I think this is a very large idea. It's a good idea, but it's the tip of a much larger iceberg. What you really want is for Sandy to support user customizable ***actions***. Also, that these actions would take place in response to certain events.
As far as I can tell, Sandy doesn't actually "do" very much. I mean, she doesn't interact with the outside world very much. She sends email, she sends tweets, she sends sms messages, she reads incoming mail, tweets and sms messages. This is limited, and the nature of these communications is fixed. When Sandy sends a tweet, it is always sent as a direct message.
What you're suggesting is that Sandy be able to "log in" or have access to your Twitter account, and that she should have the power to change your Twitter status to reflect what was in a reminder. This includes 2 main things. 1) Sandy should be able to do some sort of action and interact with a Twitter account and cause it to be updated, and 2) that Sandy should do this action in response to an event (the time has come to go to the doctor.)
I think these are great ideas, but they're difficult. In order to do it correctly, Sandy would really have to support an API, or some sort of scripting. "Sandy, when 5 o'clock comes, I want you to do X." Where X could be anything.
Some examples:
Send this email to this address. (email and address are given to Sandy.)
Call this API and send this data. (API and data are provided)
Visit this website and log in. Then do another actions. (website and password are provided, etc)
etc, etc.

Can I have Sandy Update my twitter? Is it possible yet to tell Sandy
"Remind me I have a Doctor's Appointment at 5pm Today."
And at 5pm That day, have your Twitter AUTOMATICALLY change to
"At the Doctor's"
Do you have any ideas of how Sandy could integrate with other web services?

macman,
If you have Twitter configured on your Sandy account (see http://iwantsandy.com/settings/twitter), you can use the @twitter tag to override your default reminder settings.
If you don't usually want to be reminded via Twitter, you can turn Twitter reminders off in your settings. Then, tag something with @twitter to have Sandy remind you via Twitter just for that event.
Similarly, @email and @sms override your default reminder settings for those as well. If you say "remind me to move the car @twitter", you will only get a reminder via Twitter. If you say "remind me to move the car @email @twitter", you will get reminders via email and Twitter (but not SMS).
Hope this helps,
Marshall

I was having the same problem with the Firefox Facebook plug-in, then the light bulb went off and I installed growlnotify

Did Adium ever send notifications to Growl? That is, was it working and it stopped working or has it never worked for you?
In either case, I would first dheck out the Growl system control panel to see if perhaps you have Adium notifications turned off. Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Growl (under Other at bottom). Click on the Applications tab of the control panel and find Adium.
Make sure that Adium is checked. Select it and click the configure button. The settings there are pretty self-explanatory. HTH!

Use Webkit: http://webkit.org/
It's a bleeding edge version of Safari because Apple doesn't update Safari till a major software update. Coupled with two plugins: Saft and Inquisitor, it's a very robust browser. Almost all websites I've visited have thus far worked.

I also found out that Nintendo is making an OS for their Wii called the "ES"
http://nes.sourceforge.jp/
It is experimental but the possibilities are endless.
Alex replied on December 29, 2007 05:13 to the question "What can I use those USB ports in the back of my Wii for?" in Nintendo:
Well, I have heard that Nintendo is planning a removable hard disk for its Wii. I am not too sure what is the volts supplied to the USB ports at the back of the Wii but the standard is 5v. There are a few "no name" brands that sell Wii remote batteries that can be charged from the USB ports. There are also Wii cooler units which actually hook up to both USB ports. I am sure Nintendo has many more little things in the works.
Maybe a Camera in the future... who knows
But add-ons for all 3 major units seem to equal off over time, PS3 has a camera, Xbox 360 has a camera, I am sure Nintendo is not that far behind. Even if their CPU is an over-clocked and heavily modified PowerPC G3 CPU (750Mhz) it has enough power to do the same multimedia the other 2 units can. So I am sure there will be many USB add-ons coming.
