It was one of their proprietary formatted buckets. I wish there were a way to hide it because it just kills Finder the moment it is selected, which is too easy to do.

I just figured out what the problem is. The bucket that shows up first is one generated by JungleDisk. And of course it doesn't play well with others. The other buckets seem to work alright.

Browsing a connected S3 account in the Finder causes the Finder to hang for > 5 minutes (and the spinning pinwheel).

I was also very frustrated that I was receiving SMS notifications even though I thought they were turned off. But then I read gir42's comment above and found out that you have to go and edit your friendship... Not a good user experience, especially when I have to pay for SMS!!! A global setting should be exactly that... global.
