so thanks to

I found the crashreports, and there are plenty, see

would any of them be helpful to you?

I wonder if there's a combination of Near Me settings that somehow make it fail when you reopen the settings view.
So after a fresh re-install via iTunes I did the following: I can get to the "Near Me" Settings View just fine and press "Done" without changing any of the Near Me Settings. This I can do multiple times without a hitch.
But, once I do a little change, in my case set the "sort by" from "distance" to "date" (without changing anything else) and then press "Done", these settings take effect but can not be changed ever again. Next time I try to open the settings view in Near Me, Darkslide crashes from then on.
I could confirm this behaviour a second time (after a fresh re-install again) while changeing the "sort order" from "nearest first" to "nearest last" leaving all else in its default state.
Note that after re-install I did not change any of the other settings darkslide offers, I went straight into the Near Me settings. I only confirmed the "Darkslide wants to use your location" dialog. Even when Darkslide is in the "crash on near me settings" state, the other settings under the "More" View work as expected.
Is there a way I can provide you with a crash log, even if this means digging into some files? Is there a possibility that T-Mobile Germany provides different location data? Do you have crash reports of other people living East of Greenock or possibly East of Greenwich?

Near Me settings crash Darkslide Pro 1.5.2After updating Darkslide 1.5.1 to 1.5.2 on the iPhone, NearMe settings would crash Darkslide no matter what. So I deleted Darkslide on the iPhone and reinstalled from iTunes. Then the Near Me settings were accessible to me (could verify that the sort triangles now come with text description, thanks).
But after a few days of use the Near Me settings constantly result in an app crash again, no matter what (tried different language settings, tried immediately after reboot).
I am on 1st gen iPhone if that matters.

great, now let's hope you get a little more lucky with the app-store review times in 2009!
btw: my response took so long because the rss feed of getsatisfaction seems to not work right now. I hadn't seen any updates on my issues in Netnewswire these days and was checking the site directly today after seeing on twitter that you were working these days.

NearMe Settings / Sort order "by Date": triangle meaning? This is a minor point: In the "Near Me" settings I never understand the triangles (sort order) when sorted by date. In Interestingness and Distance "hight to low" (descending) and "low to high" (ascending) make sense to me when represented by the sort triangle. But with "Date" I can never remember if newer=high or older=high (e.g. longer ago).
Would it be possible to word this differently (i.e. "newest on top") or to use different icons?

Darkslide 1.5.0 pro doesn't retain/respect upload compressionAs I understand it the "upload compression" setting should mean how pictures are resized or recompressed (e.g. JPG compression level) or both before upload to save on bandwidth and accelerate upload. However so far the upload compression setting always resets to "none" and doesn't seem to affect any upload even if selected immediately before uploading. Also while the upload page says that photos from camera roll are always resized to 640x480 in my experience they were uploaded in full size (pixels as well as bytes).

Darkslide 1.5.0 pro crashes after Search and then InfoDo this: In Darkslide 1.5.0 pro (freshly downloaded and installed, removed Exposure before) do a SEARCH for anything. In the results list select ANY SEARCH RESULT, wait until the selected search result (the photo) has loaded completely. Press INFO in the upper right: Darkslide crashes (reproducable with several search terms and tested on several images). This does not happen if I press INFO on any of my own photos, of my contacts, of photos nearby or those featured in Interestingness.

Darkslide 1.5.0 reports 0 views (zero) on "My Photos"Darkslide 1.5.0 reports 0 views (zero) on "My Photos" no matter what privacy level was set and although they have been viewed several times. I have cleared the Cache (in Settings) with no improvement. Also I deleted Exposure Premium from iPhone and iTunes and downloaded Darkslide anew from the AppStore.

Privacy Icon Color for Private PhotosExposure 1.0.3 premium: Private photos (red icon on flickr.com) show up with a green icon in the "My Photos" tab, although privacy is reported correctly in detail view. [this is an absolutely minor problem]

Ups, really confused, can't edit this comment anymore: 50N/8.25W would be in the Atlantic, sorry. The real position is 50N/8.25E but gets reported in flickr as 50N/8.25W – macsteve, on August 09, 2008 11:38

Exposure Premium 1.0.2: Tags return only public photosThis might again be an API limitation (could you confirm?): In the "More" tab when you select one of your own tags, this tag will only return public photos, not those marked private or friends.
