An equally good point, which is why, if I'm going to end up with the badge on my profile, I want it to be legit/deserved and not because I was running errands on a Saturday. :) – maczter, on September 11, 2009 19:53-

Venue Categories + Badge Requirements = winCreate broad categories for venues ("Restaurant", "Bar", "Club", "Store", "Office", "Residence", etc.) and use these categories for requirements on some badges. I'm suggesting this because I got the "Crunked" badge after checking into Target one night. Perhaps only allow "Bar" and maybe "Restaurant" check-ins to count toward getting that badge, since few people will be getting crunk at stores or offices, etc. :)-

A comment on the idea "Permanently delete messages" in OtherInbox:
I'm going to have to agree with Ninjudd. The ability to permanently delete a message and/or permanently purge all deleted messages should not be considered a "Feature Request" for an e-mail service. It's a mandatory function for any e-mail application. If it's being put off to protect users from accidentally losing messages, then give us a confirmation screen, but not being able to permanently purge messages is a serious detriment. I will not feel comfortable recommending OIB to others any longer until this capability is available and available to all users.

Need a way to filter out people who I've already blocked.Perhaps offer an option to hide users I've already blocked. Currently, users who were following me in the past but are now blocked are still showing in my list. I'd like to see a way to filter out people I've already blocked so I don't have to see them again when looking through my fake followers for people who haven't been blocked yet.
A comment on the idea "iPhone upload to TwitPic rotate image issue" in TwitPic:
It's free in that we don't have to pay, but our sending traffic to his site does generate ad revenue for Noah, so providing feature requests and/or bug fix requests benefits Noah by ensuring that we, as users, remain satisfied with his service and don't start posting our pics (and sending our traffic) elsewhere, as there are at least half a dozen competing services I can think of off the top of my head. – maczter, on May 21, 2009 20:39

If anyone else has this issue, @ me on twitter ( http://twitter.com/maczter ) and I'll point you in the right direction with a friend who has some Yahoo Pipes code that functions as a nice workaround for this issue. It tacks RT @username: in front of each retweet.-

Hooray! It looks like the folks at Twitter heard my plea and have unsuspended my @ThankTank account, so I can now confirm that this issue has been resolved to my complete satisfaction! Thank you!
The only remaining issue that may get my retweet bot suspended again is this one... http://getsatisfaction.com/handcrafte...

re-tweeting of @replies is causing confusion - need a leading characterFeed-tweet bot is confusing people when it re-tweets tweets starting with "@". Need to be able to add a leading character of some sort.
For example, I have not sent any tweets to anyone, yet my @Replies tab is full of stuff like this...
...because the tweets coming from my bot come out like this...
If we could at least have the option to insert a leading character, whether fixed or of our choosing so that the message wouldn't appear to be an @reply to the person whose name follows the @ sign, that would help. If not a traditional "RT @username:", then perhaps an ">" or "*" before the rest of the tweet?
Some folks might be able to filter out the @replies so they don't get re-tweeted at all, but that would largely defeat the purpose of what I'm trying to do since I'm re-tweeting tweets of gratitude, which tend to consist primarily of @ replies. :)
Thanks!

My Feed-tweet bot is repeating itself. My Feed-tweet bot is repeating itself. My Feed-tweet bot is repeating itself within a single tweet. All tweets in the feed I'm pulling in which are shorter than a certain length get repeated at least partially all within a single tweet. Here's a sample for you:
You can see more of the repetitive tweets here: http://twitter.com/ThankTank
Thanks!
