A comment on the question "Why such a nag notice for sync?" in Xmarks:
Oh, and I meant to add that this only began happening since the last xmarks update. – magnoliasouth, on August 29, 2009 17:43

Yes, it happens usually at least once a day. It says something about an uneven number of bookmarks and it wants to sync. There are two things about this that bother me:
1. The most obvious is that I have it set to sync automatically.
2. Why is it having trouble "remembering" previous bookmarks?
I'll post it as soon as it happens again. Thank you!

Why such a nag notice for sync?In Firefox Xmarks settings > Sync > Enable automatic sync is checked
Why then am I getting (each session) a nag screen saying that I need to sync my bookmarks?
In initially I had Sync on shutdown checked, and figured that this was the problem, but alas it is not. After unchecking it I'm STILL getting the nag screen. If it's supposed to be auto syncing, then why isn't it just doing it instead of bothering me about it?
I have tested this issue in Ubuntu, XP and even Vista. It does it in all of them.-

Wait, wait, wait. It just occurred to me what you actually said, or rather what you were referring to. RTM does allow SMS reminders. It's under Settings > Reminders tab. Just scroll to the bottom. Is it that your service provider isn't listed?
Unless you're talking about adding events via SMS. You can still do that, but you have to do it via Twitter. – magnoliasouth, on December 09, 2008 17:16

I ditched reQall for Dial2Do and I'm using Google Calendar (gCal). Between those two, I'm fairly good. The only problem I have is setting reminders via SMS. As far as I can tell, gCal won't allow me to do that. I can set an event via SMS, but I cannot change the default reminders.
RTM is okay. It's just something about the layout that bothers me, it's too confusing. Users that do use it love it, so there must be something to it.

Probably an even better solution would be a character before mobile such as @mobile or +mobile. This way it won't forward any emails that happen to mention mobile. I live in Mobile so naturally that would be a problem for me. ;) – magnoliasouth, on December 09, 2008 12:32

Probably because the good features are pay only. – magnoliasouth, on December 07, 2008 01:24

I agree about letting users know in a clear email. I seldom read mine either and it was by pure chance I opened it this morning. – magnoliasouth, on November 26, 2008 12:00

Aha! Well then that's exactly what is needed. :) Thanks much. I'm not the original poster, by the way, but an interested user. – magnoliasouth, on November 12, 2008 00:21-

Yeraze: Even if a user does not have an alternate address defined, many phones (mine included) do not allow clickable links. Not everyone has smart phones.
A better option would be to also include a code that can be entered online inside the users account, instead of only a clickable link. – magnoliasouth, on November 11, 2008 13:25

Wanted: IwantSandy Gmail Labs GadgetI would absolutely LOVE to have a Gmail (Labs) IwantSandy Gadget, like Remember the Milk.
It would sit in the sidebar and I'd have the ability to view today's, this week's, or this month's tasks/reminders.
