Billing doesn't respond to emails, can't pay Issuu.billing@issuu.com not responding to emails, account suspended (because of card info), no way to fix this.
I've emailed them multiple times over August. Just launched site feature using Issuu, need this resolved.

Here's a service that offers white labeling, including embeddable viewers like Issuu's. http://www.zmags.com/, here's an example use: http://www.cascadiagbc.org/news/annou... – mahalie, on August 06, 2009 00:13

I haven't seen any competitor with a viewer the comes near to rivaling Issuu's. They have done an excellent job with it. Certainly they are breaking ground here. The question now is - will they will keep all the attention they've gained? If a new slick competitor enters the arena offering a non-watermarked service there could be a mass exodus from Issue - all those that are more interested in good-looking content delivery and (non-branded) integration in their site than the "social newsstand" aspect.
The fact is people are able to create flash viewers themselves (or any experience flash dev could, there are many templates/tutorials). It's just not very convenient - the PDF to viewer automation is great, excellent work by Issue's dev team.
If a user/customer is mostly interested in quickly getting content on their website and having it integrate with their site and look good, then true white labeling is all they care about. It would seem from Issue's responses here and elsewhere that this is not their target market. That's fine. I just hope they consider diversifying or that some other good developers see this untapped market and take advantage of it.

Confident, interesting. Well at least we know Issuu is not flexible on this issue. I'm canceling my "pro" (whatever that means) subscription today. – mahalie, on June 16, 2009 22:21

This letter is disheartening. We will have to look for another service. It's not about secrecy for us but about brand consistency. We have a minimal clean website for and we simply do not put other people's logos on it. I consider issuu more like flowplayer or other "viewers". Usually paying for a professional license allows you to remove the logo. That IS the difference between regular and pro. – mahalie, on June 16, 2009 22:19

darko hit the nail on the head...this is what was advertised and why we signed up. I am really not seeing any benefits to PRO right now. Our website is professional and minimal...we don't want any branding but ours on it.
I would like to continue using issue, especially since I got our CEO to buy off on it. I'm very embarrassed now that we've signed up and things are not as issuu (and subsequently myself) promised.
Issuu has a great thing going but this false advertising is a really bad move. You're embarrassing the purchasing decision-makers who recommend upgrading based on advertised features only to find it's false.-
