Update to my own problem: I starting emailing every Yahoo portal I could find, regardless of its purpose, being as abrasive as I could without being threatening and without using obscenity. Within 24 hrs. I got a call from a tech who walked me throught the solution live, discovered two more hidden problems in the process, and was knowledgeable, patient, and courteous the entire time. It appears that Yahoo doesn't want to do customer service and you just have to nag them until they respond.

I finally got an entirely satisfactory response by sending emails to ALL yahoo portals I could find, regardless of their intended purpose. I was as abrasive as I could be without being threatening and without using obscenity. It appears that Yahoo doesn't want to deal with customer service, so you have to hammer on them until they're convinced they can't get rid of you any other way.

I did call 866-800-8092 about my similar problem. I got "This number no longer takes messages. Please go to smallbusiness.yahoo.com/contactus" and some lie about "to assure a better quality response. Guess what? I can't find that site. – Malcolm, on August 18, 2009 19:12-

Malcolm reported a problem in Yahoo! on August 18, 2009 18:38:
Need to talk to a human at Yahoo Web Hosting!I purchased a Yahoo domain. I had so many problems and so little support response that I decided to cancel it. I called Bank Of America, lodged a dispute, while waiting worked on the site, actually got a tech on the phone, got it running. Called Bank Of America back, told them problem is fixed. Yesterday (three weeks later) I got a "dispute resolution form" in the mail from BOA, I can't access my domain control panel, Yahoo Small Business page denies my existence, and I can find no link or telephone # to reach a live human to fix this mess. I called BOA again, explained, they said,"Oh. Duh." and - again - promised to fix it. I can find no human Yahoo contact - nothing but dead-end links that deny my site's existence. HOW DO I REACH A YAHOO HUMAN?
