Hello,
do you mean that the icon you picked does not change on the phone or in your Facebook widget? The icon on Facebook usually changes quite immediately after you have uploaded it from the phone, but there might be cases, due to network congestion, when the change occurs after 1 or 2 minutes.
Please, let us know how it goes and if you still have problems with it.

Hello,
that's strange since this is a problem that you've started seeing only after some time you've been using the app already. Try to do the following in this order:
1. remove the app from your phone;
2. remove the widget from your Facebook profile:
to remove the CenceMe widget from your Facebook profile page, locate the widget, click the "x" sign on the top-right corner of the widget frame, and then "Remove Application". Alternatively, you can click on the "Applications" link on the left top hand side of the screen below the search text field and then click on the "X Remove" link that corresponds to "CenceMe - iPhone Edition".
2. re-install and activate CenceMe again.

Hello Robert,
thanks for the input. Our plan at the moment is not to include the CenceMe status changes in the News Feed but inside the CenceMe widget (to view the buddy's historical CenceMe status). We are currently working on the development of this feature that will come in the near future.
Your point is valid though, and we'll definitely take it into consideration.

Ok so to better nail down this problem it would be great if you could send us the following details to this email address (cenceme-help@cenceme.org) :
- the Facebook id for both the Facebook accounts you activated the phones. You can find the id on your Facebook page by looking at the URL which looks like this:
....facebook.com/profile.php?id=12345678

as I can see from your screenshot the time on the map (13:49:53) seems to be consistent with the time on the tool bar of your computer display (bottom right corner: 1:52 PM). So you uploaded your last CenceMe status 3 minutes before you took the screenshot.
If you are in CST your time right now is 2PM whereas for me (EST) is 3PM.
Let me know if it does make sense.

Hi,
to have CenceMe reflecting the correct time zone you have to change the time zone settings of your iPhone.
Go inside: Settings > General > Date & Time. Now switch Set Automatically to off and pick the correct time zone from inside "Time Zone".

We are experiencing the same problem here. We have two phones running CenceMe, next to each other. Sometimes the service works fine in one phone and not on the other and viceversa.
Have you experiencing a similar problem in the past days or it is just yesterday (when the Facebook issue started) and today?

Hello,
so it seems that every time you try to launch the application you go straight back to the iPhone main screen (correct me if I'm wrong). I've been sporadically experiencing a similar behavior too when launching other applications downloaded from App Store. This is not related to CenceMe (or in general to the apps I tried) but potentially to some other issues with the phone itself or to a non successful installation process of the application. Try to uninstall CenceMe, turn the iPhone off and back on, and re-install CenceMe.
Please, let me know how it goes after you have gone through this process.

As a follow up to this I take the chance here to clarify a point:
unless you have an iPhone 3G with GPS, location with the old iPhone is retrieved by using the cellular radio signal and WiFi. This means that if you own a non-3G iphone and you happen to be under poor cellular and/or WiFi coverage you might experience a drop in the localization accuracy.
Please, let us know if you have any further questions about the way localization works in CenceMe.

I'll explain here how to add a message to an icon that has been selected from the IconMe view.
When you are asked if you want to associate a message to the icon click "Yes". A new page comes up with a white area and the CenceMe logo inside. At the top of the page you see "Tap the white area". To go into edit mode tap the white area and the keyboard will come up. Type your message in and after you are done click the blue "Done" button in the right hand side of the top bar. At this point the message along with the associated icon will be uploaded to your Facebook page.
