Marc LaFountain replied on June 19, 2009 11:25 to the question "How can I link to a specific post?" in Tumblr:
You can click the upper right corner of a post on the Dashboard to go to the permalink web page for that post. The permalink location on your public tumblelog pages can vary, but is often the post date, post time, comments link, or some sort of symbol.
You cannot link the Title of a post to its permalink page.

Marc LaFountain replied on June 17, 2009 16:27 to the question "how do you show who liked and reblogged your post IN your post?" in Tumblr:
Many themes show Notes on permalink web pages for specific posts. If your theme does not, you or the theme designer can add support for Notes:

Marc LaFountain replied on June 16, 2009 13:00 to the problem "Invalid HTML error even when saving current theme" in Tumblr:
Perhaps the theme you are using hasn't been updated to comply with our theme validator. In the case, modifying the theme would trigger theme validation and give you the error.
Either you or the theme designer would have to make sure that the Custom HTML contains the <html>, <body>, and {block} elements.

Try putting the Google Analytics code at the end of your Description. Or, move it from your Description to the Custom HTML on the Theme tab.

Marc LaFountain replied on June 15, 2009 12:00 to the problem "JavaScript embed: Flash MP3 player not working" in Tumblr:
Hello! I see four Audio posts in the embed in your website and all four played fine when I clicked on them. I would try reinstalling/upgrading Adobe Flash and try disabling any browser add-ons that you may be running.

Marc LaFountain replied on June 15, 2009 11:22 to the question "Is there a way to see who's reblogged one of your posts?" in Tumblr:
You should get a Dashboard notification that says someone "reblogged your quote" (or other post type) and you can click on "reblogged" to see the reblog or on "quote" to see your quote (or other post type) that was reblogged.

Marc LaFountain replied on June 15, 2009 11:19 to the question "how can i watch .gif images from my dashboard ?" in Tumblr:
The blog owner should try posting an animated GIF that is 512K or less in size and 500 pixels or less in width.
Is the GIF working on their public pages and just not on the Dashboard or is it not working in either place?

You have likely created two accounts and the registered email address for one of the accounts contains a typo. We will resolve this when we respond to your support email. Thanks!

If you install the bookmarklet in Safari on your computer and then sync your computer's bookmarks with your iPhone, the bookmarklet will then be installed and usable on the iPhone.

Marc LaFountain replied on June 08, 2009 11:23 to the question "How do I add getsatisfaction to my tumblr?" in Tumblr:
You can edit the Custom HTML of your theme clicking the Customize link on the Dashboard, clicking the Theme link, and clicking the Use Custom HTML link at the bottom of the tab.
Unfortunately, we can't provide technical support for HTML customizations. Given our large number of users, we just don't have the resources. My apologies.
If you would like to learn more about HTML and CSS so you can customize your Theme, visit http://www.w3schools.com/html or http://www.w3schools.com/css.
Info on Tumblr's customizable theme templates is at http://www.tumblr.com/docs/custom_themes.
