if you have updated to the latest launcher 2.3 then you will need to ssh into Apple TV. from Linux and Mac OSX, use the ssh command line via the terminal.

1.ssh frontrow@{ip address}
2.To retrieve your IP (boxee>settings>general>IP or ATV>settings>general>about>IP
3.enter Password "frontrow"
4.rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/BOXEE/UserData

I personally do not think we need home icon to go to the welcome screen as i do not use it that much i usually use the left menu to navigate to another screen ..by the way if you select "H" from the keyboard it will take you to the home screen..however i am sure if more people vote for this it might get implemented..
