yes, after a couple of restarts it is still there (now as well so when I can help you with sending the xml to you I would be happy do so) – marcel, on September 09, 2008 15:06

Yep, the 'new +Work' group was synced back to iCal as well... – marcel, on September 09, 2008 15:05

dejumble.com sync tipMaybe it makes sense to add a button to the 'Online Sync' tab to simply stop sync (instead of using change login).

Hmm, new issue.
I resynced with dejumble.com. After doing so I have a group +work in my dejumble view. In the preferences it is named 'new item'.
Deleting is not possible (again).
After a restart it is even worse, I now don't have new old 8 items but 16 and Dejumble slows down my whole system. The new new old old items (9-16) are named 'new item'.
Looks like the sync is not in sync yet...

1) b8 but it happened with other versions as well
2) brilliant question, should have though of that as well. I created a group test in iCal, it appeared in Dejumble under iCal Sync and when I tried to sync it it gave me the same result. I was looking in the wrong direction. It is something else (although this is even stranger to me)

I do everything that you mention. No more no less.
When I click on the word Sync I get the error message.
Because it has worked for me (before stopping the sync) I am pretty sure it has to do with a settings or preference file that is on the system. Maybe the same one that holds my registration data?

Two, one named Work and one name Private.
What I forgot to mention is that they used to work without any flaws until I decided, because of a beta version that warned for possible syncing issues, to stop syncing these two.
Almost all tasks in these groups came from entry in Dejumble and the result of it was (I think because of that) that both groups were still available in both iCal and Dejumble...

I have (used) appzapper already but followed your instructions twice to do it all over again.
The minute I sync an iCal group with Dejumble (not a Dejumble group with iCal) I see the error again 'iCal Sync Error You cannot sync a Dejumble group that has the same name as a Calendar that currently exists in iCal'.
To be exact, that is NOT what I am doing. I have chosen iCal Sync. Also, there is only one group available named Task and nothing else.
The funny part is, the group is synced and all tasks are shown in Dejumble but Dejumble will complain again the next time I want to sync.
The 2nd tab in the debug windows remains to be empty.
In the 3rd tab I see the synced tasks.
I deleted the tasks again and looked in the groups tab of the options panel.
And again I see the New items group added (wrong name, correct color).
When I delete the New items group I get a message alerting me that the group has 8 tasks, even with the deleted tasks (through the debug window).
After a restart of Dejumble the group Work is there again, the tasks are still there and sync gives me the same message again.
There must be a hidden file or some setting somewhere...

How can I delete ALL Dejumble dataI wanted to setup Dejumble tasks again and sync with my iCal tasks
Due to all testing that I have done I ended up with groups with the same name in Dejumble and iCal.
Since I can not sync groups with the same name (would love to be able to do so) I deleted the group in Dejumble.
However, Dejumble still complains that the group already exists, then creates the tasks under the correct group name and the groups tab under the options shows a new group, name 'New Item' with the correct color.
How do I actually delete ALL data from Dejumble. I have tried to remove the xml and plist files but that is nog enough :(

Well, I can't answer that for the developer obviously but Allan answered that question already imho.

OK, picked it up as such. My mistake, apologies. – marcel, on July 21, 2008 10:46

I reported the issue to apple through the app store.
It gets even stranger though.
Today I received my new iPhone 3G and restored the backup of my iPod Touch (backup made 5 minutes earlier).
The iPod Touch still has the application installed.
The new (synchronized!) iPhone does not.
I hope we can solve this in any way because I had really hoped to 'walk away' with my tasks....
