We have increased this limit to 1000 characters now. We do not wish to have a unrestricted length, but we do agree that 400 might have been a bit too limiting.

We're continuously evaluating new platforms for iusethis, but Android is not currently a priority for us. This might change at any time tho.

Unfortunately, openid does not currently work for our API. Even if you registered with openid you can set a password in the prefs pane to use with facebook and appfresh for instance. We do plan to add support for OEmbed to iusethis in order to resolve this.

Quite a few of our updates comes through the 'Suggest new version' dialog at the app profile screen. It is at the bottom of the white field next to 'Suggest screenshot/icon'.

The two biggest categories as far as I can tell is hosted applications (like flickr and blogger) and web apps you can download or buy and run on your own server. (Like Moveabletype, wordpress and phpGallery). One of the issues we're discussing with regards to making iusethis for web applications is what constitutes a web application, and what is just a web site. I also worry the potensial for spam is greater on this platform than on the others.
