Marije replied on December 17, 2009 18:50 to the problem "FONT DRAMA on YOLA ( Font and size inconsistency from Browser to Browser ) H E L P" in Yola:
Hi Rain,
I've just replied to your email with this info:
I attach a screenshot of the same page, side-by-side in IE and Firefox. To me, there is a very slight difference because this is how different browsers render different content and not something that we can control.
You write that some pages display a completely different font (not Ariel). Could you let me know which specific page this is? I did go through a few of the pages on your website and they were behaving as expected to me.
Could you confirm which browser (and version - IE6, IE7 etc) you see the different font.

Hi Gregory - is the file 0kb on your computer? If so, then there's possibly something wrong with it. Could you please send an email to support@yola.com and attach the file so that we can take a look for you? – Marije, on December 17, 2009 17:30

Hey Boomer,
This seems to be a Yola site that is ripping yours - can you submit an Abuse report? This is the link: http://www.yola.com/report-abuse
We'll be able to take it from there.
A comment on the question "[Back To Top] Button On Webpage...." in Yola:
I'm able to use the Back to Top links on this page: http://seaviewflowers.co.uk/products.php - it does direct me to the top of the page. Does it not work for you? If not, could you let us know what browser you are using? – Marije, on December 15, 2009 10:10
Marije replied on December 15, 2009 10:05 to the question "Why aren't my donation linking into my account?" in Yola:
Hi Kawanna,
When I click on the Donate button on your home page, I am directed to PayPal to make a payment:

When someone makes a payment, Paypal will email you with a notification. The email will be sent to the email address that is linked to your Paypal account. You can then see what has been paid.
If you would like to know how much traffic your site is getting, we recommend that you add something like Google Analytics. You can find more information on this link: http://cs.yola.com/index.php?pg=kb.pa...
I hope that helps!

Marije replied on December 14, 2009 16:43 to the question "Why won't my sites load in site builder, I've tried everything else" in Yola:
Hi Tok Guru,
Could you post your site's URL and also let us know what version of IE you are using - is it IE6, 7 or 8?
We have had one or two people struggling to access the site builder in IE and re-installing it seemed to help. The alternative is to use another browser. If you could give me the above information, I will try and see whether I experience any problems on my side.

A comment on the question "How can I tell how much traffic my site is getting?" in Yola:
Hi Chuck - generally we advise people to add the Google Analytics code to the bottom of their pages using an HTML widget. This works and Google Analytics is happy and tracks websites easily. Are you using the standard Google Analytics code? Or are you trying to do something different? Can you also check whether you have added your URL to Google Analytics as http://thriftyscout.yolasite.com/ or http://www.thriftyscout.yolasite.com/.
Sorry for what may be stupid questions, but I don't know why Google Analytics would be having problems when thousands of people on Yola use their service successfully. Is there an error message in your GA account? If so, could you paste it here so that we can investigate? – Marije, on December 11, 2009 16:54
Marije replied on December 11, 2009 15:57 to the question "IP Banning: Is it possible by uploading a script." in Yola:
Hi Nick,
IP banning is something that can only fully be implemented at the server level, and it is not something that Yola offers. IP banning is something we would caution against for a few reasons:
1. They are easy to get around for someone who is determined.
2. People share computers. If you ban the ip, you ban all the users.
3. You could end up banning thousands of users who share an ip address.

Hi Chuck,
There are a few things you can check:
1. Have you copied the complete code provided by Google Analytics and pasted it into an HTML widget?
2. It usually takes 24 hours for data on your site to be available in your Google Analytics account.
3. Please see this link on Google's Support Page: https://www.google.com/support/google.... – Marije, on December 11, 2009 15:56
A comment on the question "2 column layout not working as expected!?" in Yola:
Hi Esteban,
We have two options if you want a site built using Yola but you would like someone else to build it for you:
* Logoworks is a partnership that we're piloting with HP Logoworks that will allow Yola customers to have a professional designer create a Yola website for them for US$499. Details of the offer can be found on www.yola.com or http://www.logoworks.com/yola, and the Logoworks team will be able to answer any questions that you have via their support phone number and email address.
* Yola Experts Program: http://yep.yola.com/hire.php.
I hope that helps! – Marije, on December 09, 2009 16:05
Marije replied on December 09, 2009 11:48 to the question "MY site WILL NOT Upload any photos or files!!! =(" in Yola:
I'm sorry to hear you are struggling to upload files and we would like to find out why this is happening. Please can you check the following:
1. What browser and browser version are you using? If you are using Google Chrome, please note that this is not currently a supported browser for Yola, and older versions are particularly problematic. Preferably switch to a different browser (Firefox, IE or Safari), but at the very least make sure you are running the latest version of Chrome.
2. What operating system are you using?
3. Check what version of Flash you have installed. In order to find out click this link:http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewC.... Please ensure you are using the latest version of Flash.
4. If you have access to a different browser, computer or network environment please try to upload a file and let us know if the error still occurs or if you get a different result.
5. Please can you try logging out of your Yola account and clearing your browser's cache (this link has more information: http://www.google.com/support/account...)
6. Please can you make sure that your browser is set to accept cookies from Yola (this link has more information: http://www.google.com/cookies.html)
Please let us know if none of the above information helps at all.
Marije replied on December 09, 2009 10:27 to the question "how to create a product bundle (more than one item)" in Yola:
Hi rpsurplus,
Unfortunately this feature's not available on Yola, unless you add the Catalog widget and your customers click on more than one "Add to Cart" button.
Perhaps PayPal itself has an option. You can check out their guide on this link: https://cms.paypal.com/cms_content/US...
This link on our site shows you how to add code from PayPal.com to your site: http://www.yola.com/customer-support/....
I hope that helps!-
