A comment on the question "Domain name" in Yola:
I've merged the other thread with this one - if you would like to post the domain name you've purchased, I will be able to look it up to get more information. Could you also let us know what is going wrong? – Marije, on November 26, 2009 16:26

Hi Stephanie - if you have a link to a page/picture on another page of your site, and you delete the first page/picture - then yes, you would need to go and edit the link. Is that the information you were looking for? – Marije, on November 26, 2009 16:06

I've just answered your email in Support. Your site with Wix is working.

A comment on the question "how to highlight the image" in Yola:
Hi Raymond - there isn't an easy way to do this - it involves code and you can probably find the answer on the link that Boomer has posted. Were you able to take a look? – Marije, on November 25, 2009 16:36

Hi Henok,
I would recommend that you start by taking a look at the information we have on one of our support pages: http://www.yola.com/customer-support. We have divided areas of Yola into sections and you would probably find it helpful to start with this one: http://www.yola.com/customer-support/...
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Marije replied on November 25, 2009 16:00 to the question "How can I have a 2 in 1 background for my blog?" in Yola:
Hi Dana,
Your background image of Nefertiti is 501x614 pixels, but it does not have the gold area that is visible on your page - is that a different picture?
The right image size for the background depends on the size and resolution of the computer screens viewing your site and the length of your page. As a rule of thumb, your image can be 1500 pixels across (width), but the length would depend on how much content you have on your page. So, we would recommend that you make sure you have an image that is 1500 across, but you can make it as long as you like.
Marije replied on November 25, 2009 14:31 to the question "Domain names under one roof - The Yola Roof" in Yola:
Hi Stewart,
I have some good news for you! We're currently working on a project where you will be able to transfer your domain from your current domain registrar to Yola. We're hoping that this will be available in the next few weeks, unfortunately I can't give you an exact date. Can you wait until then?
We would recommend that you rather do that than letting the domain lapse. There is often a waiting period after a domain has expired and there's no guarantee that you will be able to repurchase it before someone else has (when that waiting period is up).

Marije replied on November 25, 2009 13:00 to the question "301 Redirecting" in Yola:
Hi Boomer,
Can you unpublish and republish your sites following these steps:
1. Click on "Publish My Site"
2. Click on the link in the bottom "Use my Domain".
3. Click on "I have done this" and fill in your domain name.
4. Follow the prompts to publish your site.
This should set the address correctly. Will you let us know if it doesn't work?

Hi Raymond,
Are you trying to add a link to your image or are you looking for some kind effect to happen when people hover over your image?
If it's the first, you can find info on adding links to images here: http://www.yola.com/customer-support/...
If it's the second, could you give more detail on what you would like to see happen? If you have an example on another site, that would also help to understand.

Hi Scott - can you post your site's URL so that we can take a look? Is the file you are trying to use uploaded to your site? Just to confirm, is an Appicon a favicon? We have more info on this link: http://www.yola.com/customer-support/... – Marije, on November 24, 2009 09:48

Marije replied on November 24, 2009 08:00 to the question "go daddy hosting problem" in Yola:
Hi brooks,
You can find all the information to hosting your site outside of Yola on this link: http://www.yola.com/customer-support/....
Please note that if you elect to host your site elsewhere, we can only support you with the process of creating your site, and downloading it. Thereafter all support relating to the hosting of your site will become the sole responsibility of your service provider.
The site you built will always be available in your Yola account for editing and updating even if you download your site as a zipped file and host it elsewhere. However, to put your changes live you would need to re-download your site and re-upload it to the servers of your hosting provider each time. If you host your site with us (either using a free subdomain or a domain of your own) you can update it with a single click - so it is a lot easier to make changes.
If you would like to rather point your GoDaddy domain to Yola so that your site is hosted with us (for free) and you can update it easily, please take a look at this tutorial: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/publish....
I hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
A comment on the update "Yola is experiencing some technical difficulties" in Yola:
Hi Caden,
I'm sure we can find out the problem and get you going on Yola! Can you let us know what browser and version you are using (eg. Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 3 etc). It would be good to make sure you are using an updated version of your browser and not using something like Internet Explorer 6.

2. Check that your browser is set to enable Javascript. This link has more information on how to check: http://www.google.com/support/websear...
Please come back to us if the above does not help at all. – Marije, on November 24, 2009 07:55
