I set up my Twitter Feed a few hours ago and I have posted several things on http://channel.hexus.net since then but no sign of them on Twitter. Any ideas?

Mario Menti reported a problem in twitterfeed about 19 hours ago:
intermittent lost tweetsA few people have reported that some individual posts weren't posted to twitter from their feed, even though everything appears to work ok. There does seem to be an issue with twitter at the moment, where it sometimes returns an "OK" status code rather than an error. For us this means that twitterfeed is being told that the post happened ok, even though it didn't, and it will therefore not try to re-post it (as it would if it had received an error back from twitter).
There's a discussion on this here: http://groups.google.com/group/twitte...
Hopefully twitter will fix this soon, in the meantime there's not a great deal I can do at my end.

I just ran it manually, and it worked.. so it looks like this may have been a temporary glitch (it does happen occasionally - but not often - that the twitter API responds with "OK" when posting, but the actual tweet doesn't appear). Please let me know if you continue to see problems with this feed, and I'll take a closer look. – Mario Menti, 1 day ago

I am having the same problem. My feed is http://feeds.feedburner.com/MsMichett...
It was working at first, but now is not. I am not sure about the other feed I have listed, but please can you check this one first? Thanks.

Hi Rob - looking at the source of your feed, there are no items in it, so there's nothing for twitterfeed to post (or indeed anything for me to test). – Mario Menti, 1 day ago

jacob replied 4 days ago to the question "Wordpress.com OpenID server not found?" in twitterfeed:
It works! :) After you suggestion that it might be a problem with the blog not being public, I went ahead and opened it up again to experiment. After a day of leaving it viewable, my blog worked as an OpenID for twitterfeed as well as Mixx.com. I guess when I tried to open it up before, I didn't give it enough time for the settings to take effect.
For anyone else with this same problem, make sure that you have your blog publicly viewable when you use it as an OpenID.
The funny thing is that I had the blog set to private when I first set up my twitterfeed login with it. Perhaps it's something that Wordpress has changed recently.
Thanks for your help, Mario.
Mario Menti replied 4 days ago to the problem "Feed not showing up in Twitter" in twitterfeed:
matt, one problem I can see is that the friendfeed rss feed doesn't have unique links, so each flickr/twitter/etc.etc. post has the same URL, pointing to the service rather than to the individual item within that service (e.g. all updates to twitter have the link "http://twitter.com/mmelnick").
The way twitterfeed works is that it checks the item links for duplicates, if the item link is included in the post being sent to twitter. This would mean that in the case of the friendfeed feed, unless you post the items to twitter without the link, they won't go out if there are previous posts with that same link. If you turn off posting of links in the settings, then this will not be a problem.
If necessary I can take a look to get that changed on an optional basis (but the checking for duplicate links is actually a feature that had been requested often before, because it avoids posts being re-posted to twitter if only the publish date has changed).
But... I'm not really sure what you're actually trying to do - posting your friendfeed, which includes twitter updates, back to the same twitter account seems a little strange... wouldn't that create lots of duplication, and in the worst case some endless loops where posts get forever thrown between twitter->friendfeed->twitterfeed->back to twitter?

I followed the first step, logging in using the OpenID shown on the form, but I can't seem to login to that OpenID URL. The OpenID provider, MyOpenID does not seem to have any of my email addresses on file... This is frustrating, because I can't see any way to "shut off" my feed from Facebook to Twitter. I've now evolved to the point where I want to go from Twitter to Facebook... and I fear catching the internet in an infinite loop...
