Emmy,
Good evening. Thank you for your kind reply. Please allow me to add some additional comments:
Talking about online safety on Yola sites, allow me to talk about a suggestion of mine to Yola: How about if you could add at the bottom of every template / site something like a legend or message for readers warning them about Yola's policy as a reliable platform to confirm its reliability by not letting readers being spammed or exposed to viruses while visiting our pages?
Being the "guarantee" I was talking about, it looks to me that it could give some advantage to Yola by clearly endorsing online security on its platform and therefor, on our sites.
As to promoting my site although I already follow your recommendations and including my site on Google and Yahoo, I'll review the link you kindly suggested me and complete the process on MSN.
Thank you very much for your kind feedback.

John,
Good evening. Thanks for your replying. In fact, I already have my personal site on Yola where I've summarized my professional profile as a financial analyst.
Right now, I'm focusing not only on promoting my page but to figure out how to invite recruiters too much wary about visiting external personal sites because of viruses which of course is not the case.

Yola based websites vs spyware and virusesConsidering that many hiring managers are wary (maybe too much) about clicking on links directing them to personal websites (where many of us job seekers are trying to leverage our job search by relying not only our resume) because of the fear of "spyware and / or viruses", Is there some feedback I could get from you as to how to handle efficiently this obstacle and generate more traffic to my personal website?
How could I guarantee that my website is safe? Could Yola create something like a "Safety Seal"
Thank you for your thoughts about this subject I'm particularly interested in.

Razldazlrr,
Hello. Allow me: you are right/wrong with your reply: I'm from another part of the world and you seem to suggest that non US members are "guilty" of abusing Linkedin (Do you know the reasons about there being on LI?).
Your reply seems a bit contradictory: you suggest that non US members have all kind of reasons (including "abusing" LI) and in the meantime, you don't seem to care if you are "spammed".
Working with recruiters? Even though I've TRIED to work with recruiters (I'm a job seeker), on the contrary, they are the ones who DON'T want to work with me.
I tried before to talk with FOUR recruiters (all of them "LION's" but I NEVER got a reply from them; they weren't interested in talking with me so, I kicked them out from my list of contacts); Abusers? There you go...
At this point, I've IDK four of them (LION's = LI abusers = profile collectors); I really don't care if John "LION" Evans is angry with me but that's the truth.
Sorry to disappoint you. I'm also done... – Latin American Member, on August 18, 2008 14:10

Adam... Hello. Linkedin sent me the same email asking me to delete some groups because I was told that I'm a "member of 58 groups" but I'm subscribed ONLY to 42 groups having also one pending request... How come? I sent an email to CS asking them to correct the mistake LI made but -as usual- I haven't got a reply regarding this mistake... Comments please? Thank you very much. – Latin American Member, on August 07, 2008 15:01

Christina,
Even though it has been a good thing to find that LI included a Spanish based option for Spanish speaking members, I'd really like to see the LI's advice "Connect with those you know and trust" modified since in my opinion, it is more suitable only for US members.
How could I network (LI hasn't allowed me exactly to do it in the broad sense of the word because of that flaw) with US members if they "conclude" that "don't trust and know me" if that statement doesn't let me try -at least- to send them a serious invitation?
Another wrong feature: When are you going to modify those useless and annoying invitations "Join my network on LI" or "I'd like to add you to my list of contacts"? I've noticed that most "LION's" use those canned invitations forcing me literally to click the IDK button because of their annoying attempts to connect without introducing themselves (I've IDK'd them several times because they simply don't want to introduce themselves). LI could even "force" us somehow to create a more formal invitation where members should write at least 20, 30 words, etc as a valid , readable and acceptable customized invitation.
LI is making a serious mistake by assuming that LI members should connect with "people they know and trust" because whether you like or not, as a member you can start a SERIOUS networking process with people you didn't met before in your entire life. Networking -in my opinion- works exactly this way.
A final thought: the Customer Service support is really AWFUL. I send them almost three months ago two inquiries and they NEVER replied. Fortunately, I was able to solve by myself the problem I had.
I sincerely hope your question and interest is honest and serious... not another waste of time.
