MDNZ, yes, in that you have to add each calendar separately as a separate account, so don't add the calendars you don't want to see, no in that within Calendar, there is no facility for seeing some calendars and not others, it is one, all for an account or all. This may change, as I think it is partly down to google as when you add google, it only shows the first calendar, you have to add the remaining calendars as separate accounts. This may also change, as 3.0 is not finalised yet.

zoftware, also check out IDrive Lite, runs on the iPhone and send all your details to their servers.

zoftware, bad news, I believe mobileMe will ask you to sync either way, ie replace contacts from phone to mac, so you could get a trial. There is also MobileSyncBrowser which will let you see the contacts in the backup files,
