Soocial not syncing GMail contacts since 5 days agoMy Gmail still isn't being updated as I'd expect it to... The first few syncs went through fine, but after Soocial went down for maint last week, my Gmail contacts have been waiting to be synced since last Wednesday.

Ah - Ignore that last question. Just found the Status section on http://blog.soocial.com/ is a copy of your twitter feed. I follow you on Twitter (http://twitter.com/soocial) so I'll keep up-to-date from there.
Thanks. – Mark Darling, on January 08, 2009 12:57

not syncingI think I'm having a problem with my account syncing.
It's now Thursday at 12:06 UK time, the last sync that GMail and Highrise contacts was made yesterday at 10:00.
Highrise gave me the option to "Schedule a manual sync" which I have pressed, but now are both sitting there saying "Scheduled for sync" and the Gmail connection has been this way since yesterday.
Any ideas?

You're right - for some situations this is a potential solution. Unfortunately just not for mine. – Mark Darling, on January 07, 2009 10:44

Chris, that's a solution that I've experimented with before. Unfortunatelly however, when sending an email in this configuration, both email addresses are revealed to the sender if they are using Outlook (and probably other mail clients). The from address reads as "GApps Account (xyz@xyz.com) on Behalf of GMail Account (xyz@gmail.com)". This was the deal breaker for me on that solution. – Mark Darling, on January 07, 2009 09:39

I might be able to help -
At some point during my testing I edited myself (the admin), I noticed the client dropdown list and being the curious person that I am changed this to the client.
It didn't have any effect on the GUI but maybe this was hooked up in the db? Then deleting the client also deletes anyone attached to that client, potentially deleting myself???
If I'm wrong then disregard this, hoping this helps debugging easier.
(my former webapp testing self coming out! :-) )

Deleting users and clientsSorry - me again... Found a couple of small issues in testing which resulted in my account being broken and I can no longer login :-( I'll describe what I did and I'm sure it'll make sense to you.
- Added a client, and a user for that client.
- Created a job and the user made comments on that job
- Back in as an admin and deleted the user (I was unsure if the comment would still be visible or not)
- Error on viewing the job
- Then I deleted the client which seemed to kick me out of the system, and I'm now unable to login (Username/password incorrect)
Thinking about it, it may be possible that I deleted myself by mistake, I'm not sure. If it's easier to remove my entire account and for me to recreate I'm happy to do that, it was only test data.
On a positive though, site looks excellent and I'm sure will be a great success. Looking forward to letting clients loose on it! :-)
