Rip a DVD (yes DVD not just CD's).

I know this is a long way off, but it would be great if songbird could "someday" rip DVD's. Can someone make it part of the roadmap?

I was able to add an entire file super easy, using the "open location" and I navigated to the file folder and "downloaded" the files, it works just fine. It seems like the term download is a misnomer in this case, but hey it worked.

My library has been sitting at 99% scanned for about 30 hours. I am using .7, but I'd originally tried the .6 version that has been officially blessed. I would try to chop the xml into 2 or 3 files, but I don't think that would work. Any thoughts? I'm maybe willing to just delete and run the library staight from SB and delete the current file for SB to maintain, but I'd prefer not.
Also, when I rip a CD and import the music from that rip, does it save those files into my SB library?

So, if I buy music through songbird, will it drop the tunes into the "Songbird" library, and I've been having trouble getting the app to finish reading my library, it imports the songs, but is stuck at 99% trying to do the playlists and ratings, I guess the "extended"-metadata.

I have a windows XP PC and can no longer get iTunes to work on it (they have been of no assistance); I found Songbird and really like it. What I would like to do is completely circumvent the iTunes issue by using Songbird to handle it all. I was wondering if Songbird creates a library file (or uses my itunes one) and if I can just sync my iPod to Songbird directly, and have all of my music in 1 lovely little folder. Oh, I have about 21,000 tracks on my ipod and a couple dozen videos.

Koshi, I'm hoping you can help. I recently downloaded Songbird and although my music is in my library, it appears none of my ratings/playlists are. I've imported my library, but it gets hung up on 99% and just sits. I've let it sit for more than 15 hours at a time, but nothing. I only have 20000 songs and just a few playlists. Any thoughts??
