Learningactionscript3.com is a site owned and hosted by the book's author, Rich Shupe.
We got in touch with Rich on this issue and he asked that we let folks know he's experiencing a temporary hosting issue.
He sends:
For the first time since the site went live, LearningActionScript3.com
suffered a temporary outage in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, that lasted
until approximately 2:30 pm EST.
Due to the enormous popularity of the book/site, we were overrun to a
certain degree. Not in the usual sense, as we have an unlimited bandwidth
and unlimited storage plan. But we were very unhappy to find the server
running at 100% cpu capacity despite running only one instance of WordPress
and no other application instances beyond the stock system. As a result of
the pinned capacity, named(BIND) failed, and ceased to resolve DNS values
during the outage.
There is no reason for this to happen considering our hosting plan and
current application pool. As such, the camel's back has been broken and we
are leaving the ISP we have had so much trouble with, and will be moving to a new
host. This will take a week or so to fully migrate, so we ask your patience
during this time in the event that the system is taxed again during that
interval.
Thank you for your patience, and we're very sorry for any inconvenience this
may have caused.

Markus_D asked a question in O'Reilly Media on February 10, 2008 11:18:
Where can I found the source code-files referenced in Learning ActionScript 3.0?I bought Learning AS3.0 recently, and have had a great experience with the first chapter. However, as the examples become more complex, I find I'm being referred to look at/use sample code files/source code, which are nowhere to be found. I didn't get a CD with the book, and I've been searching on the web-site without any luck. Am I just misunderstanding the directions?
