There are a few places here in The Netherlands were architects designed complete traffic squares which are still amazingly working today. Heetmansquare is one of those spots. It doesn't fit in a "square" category because it's full of traffic. http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelmi...

Ticket machine just because a lot of times I tell my friends to see me at the ticketmachine at the train station. Amsterdam and Utrecht Central Station are both huge so it's quite a good one to get inside spots there as well. – ∞ Martijn A.C. Snels, on December 10, 2009 12:13

I was just walking down the city and I noticed there is no category for the following things:

Shoe store (in The Netherlands shoe stores are not integrated in the apparel stores)
Men and Women Apparel (Currently you can't select this category on the iPhone but you can on the website)
Department store
Liquor store (it's not really a foodies kind of store)
ATM (We've got a bunch of ATM which are not attached to a bank building but just in the middle of some other stores)
Parking garage
Snackbar
Traffic lights / Crossing
Beauty salon
Butcher
Vegetables & Fruit Shop
Cheese Shop
Pastry and Chocolates (this kind of locations doesn't fit under Bakery)
Shoe reparation
Video rental
Opticians
Organic Shop (really need this one, it's a hot subject all over the world!)
Industrial Area (with an huge XXXXXL radius)
Conference Hotel
Conference Venue
Highway Exit
Rail crossing
Design Shop (Gimmicks etc.)
Ticket machine (on train stations etc.)
Phone store
Apple Premium Reseller (we don't have any official Apple Stores)
Flex Office (offices where you can just walk in and work on a free spot)

This way it totally doesn't make sense for European people. The European law says governments can't own companies such as postal services, banks, electricity companies and that kind of main things everyone needs. In the US there are also loads of postal offices which are not owned by the government as far as I know? Companies like TNT and DHL are also active in the States. – ∞ Martijn A.C. Satellites also have a GPS position but it needs to be constantly updated. One other thing... Gowalla needs to implement an option for GPS heights as well. The ISS is 355 kilometer up in the sky.

Hi Lewis, I think it's a great idea to setup user participated parts of Gowalla but I'm got one comment. I think every participated part needs to fit in the Gowalla website via a Javascript insert or needs to use the existing Gowalla communication platforms.

I've got a few ideas where me and some other guys are working on to solve this kind of requests for a discussion board, fully integrated in the Gowalla website via JS and maybe some Firefox plugins.
