It would be great to select only a subset of files and be able to only put those in managed mode. Or move them in a one-time way. So I have some idea of what you're going to do, without the preview (which by the way, is great, but on my 68k tracks, it's a little tricky to use the interface).
Plus, I don't have EVERYTHING tagged, but I do have some things I'd to get reorganized. It would be great to selectively and/or one-time-use managed mode on my files.

Manually organize specific tracks, a la managed modeAdd the command to manually rearrange and organize the currently selected tracks a la managed mode, but only for selected tracks. I have certain files that still need to get retagged to have correct titles and artists. I'd like to have Songbird *not* move them until I know, as sometimes the original folder structure helps me figure out how to correctly tag the album. I'd still like the older, correctly tagged albums to get 'organized' by Songbird.-

Add a metadata plugin architecture for popular tagger or mashtape! The Tagger addon or the Mashtape addon (either one!) should support a plugin architecture for providing metadata. Then lots of smaller projects could provide an implementation for their favorite metadata repository.

A comment on the problem "(possible)Big libraries will make songbird unusable" in Songbird:
I wish the search issue was fixed too. Library performance with a huge library (I have about 55k songs) is still poor, with the threading causing the performance to destroy the GUI. – Martin, on August 23, 2009 17:26

I definitely think social networking addons are premature. My library is still too big for Songbird, and cleaning it up still requires a bunch of addons that do linear scans of 50 thousand song databases. I loooooove social networking features, but Songbird isn't ready. In my opinion of course. I still love you guys for making Songbird as good as it is, and I'm still a zealot who will use it as a primary media player :)-

Martin replied on July 31, 2009 02:36 to the problem "Will not play logically down the library. Next song goes to currently selected track." in Songbird:
I also don't like this feature. I want to play Artist A while browsing Artist B. Until I actually manually click to *play* something from another list, like manually activating a song from Artist B, my player should continue on the playlist for Artist A.
Windows Media Player and Winamp behave this way, iTunes offers a shortcut to get back to the now-playing list, but Songbird schizophrenically plays whatever you're jumping around to.
This is a HUGE pain when I use addons that create playlists like SmartyPants, that suggests new music for me to play. I can't stay with the suggested songs unless I stop browsing/organizing/tagging my library.-
