Martin Hecko reported a problem in atebits on April 21, 2009 19:16:
Default window positioning code doesn't handle multiple displaysThe default window positioning is a little wonky when running with two displays.
Setup:
I have a MacBook Pro with its default 1440x900 screen set as the main display and an external Dell 20'' display running at 1050 x 1620 rotated by 90 degrees.
Problem:
When launching Tweetie for the first time the main window gets positioned in the center of the combined displays rather then the main display. See attached screengrab.
Expected behavior:
If multiple displays are connected on first launch Tweetie should just use the main display for window positioning.

It's fairly trivial to decompile .swf files as well: check out google results here: http://www.google.com/search?q=swf+de...
Really the question is more of a legal one. As a publisher of the code you own copyright on it and if you have enough time and money you can take out patents on certain aspects of its function (whether that is a worthwhile strategy is another topic, but the legal system does allow it).
Most web applications face a similar problem -- i.e. a design of a page is easily copied, since it has to be downloaded to your computer to be displayed. From a technical perspective there is some DRM and code obfuscation techniques, but the same argument applies here as with DRM for music -- if you want your customer to run it, someone can steal it.
So where does that leave you? Not sure, as it really depends on a business model you are pursuing. Some of the theft can be mitigated with maybe going with ad supported or subscription model -- i.e. the app isn't good without some account. Or maybe you can distinguish yourself with excellent customer support, where even if your competitor steal your designs, you still provide your customer better service -- your competitor can't steal that.

Alas, I spoke too soon above. The problem is still happening. It seems that it manifests particularly when there are multiple comments for the same picture and/or the picture is favorited. All the comments are there, but the thumbnails don't correspond.
I have screenshots and whatnot, if you need details, let me know.

A comment on the problem "Activity in "Recent" chronologically out of order" in Connected Flow:
Thanks, appreciate it. Looking forward to the 1.0.1 release. – Martin Hecko, on July 17, 2008 08:57-

Activity in "Recent" chronologically out of orderIn "Recent" the activity is out of order. Unlike some of the other previous issues reported with "Recent" the activity is associated with the correct photo, but is chronologically out of order. Compare the screenshot of the top image on the iPhone versus the Flickr page for the image below.
This is obviously a low priority issue. Not sure what triggers it.-

I have the same problem. For example the "dig it" comment should be one image down. Compare attached picture with this link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/martineno/
Let me know if you need more data. Thanks for a great app.
