Eventually, the genious of Windows 7 picked up the driver itself. And it works!

I'm actually not sure that it even worked in Vista when I picked it up for the first time.

Touch pad scrolling doesn't work in Windows 7. I installed the driver located here: http://support.euro.dell.com/support/...

But it doesn't make a difference. Is there any sort of setting that needs to be enabled in order for this to work?
