Mat Sadler replied on February 27, 2009 10:26 to the idea "You should seriously consider releasing the creative suite for linux" in Adobe:
I use linux now for all my web development work, its so much more stable and so much faster than windows ever was for me, moving to a mac would be too expensive when I have a perfectly good pc.
I only made the move recently and the only reason I didn't earlier was because CS wasn't available. My workaround at the moment is I have a lot of ram and xp installed in a virtual machine within ubuntu, on which I've installed CS. It runs well, but this isn't ideal as I can't get my graphics tablet to work properly within the virtual machine.
Once Adobe release a native linux version of CreativeSuite, I think you'll see a considerable increase in the number of linux users. At the moment, most windows users are put off by the lack of software support, and don't realise how much more efficient the OS is over windows. Everyone who's seen my computer in action is in awe of how quick it handles things, and I only have a fairly cheap computer, and it certainly didn't run that quick under XP. Also linux is constantly improving, if this is what it's like now:

what's it going to be like in a few years. It currently lacks some hardware support and a lot of software support, but compare to a few years back it's come on loads.
