Why oh why is there no Small "Lived In" BagI already have a Medium and an XS bag and think I need a Small too. The "lived in" bag seems so cool! Any chance of something similar in other sizes soon?

Single Panel Classic Messenger?I see that you guys are now offering single panel messengers with special fabrics. Any chance of having this bag with the regular fabrics? Or as an option in the bag builder? Thanks

Matt asked a question in Timbuk2 on June 11, 2008 18:18:
What is the purpose of the center divider?I don't want to make it seem like I'm kvetching or anything--I love my bag--but for the life of me I can't figure out what the designer(s) had in mind with the center divider.
If I put anything behind the divider or inside of the pocket it makes the bag very uncomfortable to wear since the items invariably bulge out rather than stay flat at the bottom. I feel that the term "center divider" is a bit of a misnomer and it may be a good idea to at least include a picture in the bag builder so people know what it is. If I had known, I would have gotten the grab strap instead.
Thanks
ps-I guess it could maybe be good for packages?

I had the same dilemma, though I probably won't be able to explicate properly what the difference is. I'll try since you're in a hurry. The Commute and the messenger have a different strap adjustment mechanism. The former being a cam that slides up and down the strap as it's adjusted, the latter being a fixed buckle at the bottom. When I switched the strap on the Commute it took some practice getting used to adjusting it but after the initial hurdle was really no problem; however, like I said, the custom was much better. (Maybe you could get the Commute, order a custom and once that gets in, return the Commute!)-

Thanks a lot! I do have a Commute right now but have to return it because it's not quite big enough for my laptop (I have another topic about that) and have just designed a left handed custom messenger in which I'll just put my laptop in a sleeve. I've been a little reluctant to get it because of the price (plus shipping), but I know it's worth it.
