Different versions of 7 include features that many users have no need for. One of the reasons why there are different versions is that that users can purchase the items they want and will use. Why make some pay for features that they are never going to touch?

Your computer provider should have given you an XP or Vista install disk. You will most likely need to do start up repair (if you have vista) or a clean install

Can you boot into last known good configuration. Can you be more specific on the error message. If you boot into the install dvd can you run a "Startup Repair"?

What web browser are you using. Make sure you restart your web browser after install.

I had the same issue on my Dell and it does not matter which operating system I use (Microsoft or Linux based). It is most likely the wireless card or chip that needs to be repaired.

There are many alternatives to Windows Mail. You can use outlook, or many other clients, Mozilla Thunderbird is also good. They can be set as the default mail program and they will import all your settings and contacts.

Hi Ramy, There was a networking issue that was found during routine maintenance. The issue was with Windows Live ID and affected all services that used Windows Live ID to sign in like MSDN, MSN, and Hotmail. The total downtime was about 2 hours.

The versioning system in Windows 7 is much better then the one used for Vista.

1st The Windows 7 disk will be able to install every sku.

2nd each SKU is a superset of the previous SKU. No features are lost on upgrade.

3rd There will only be 2 main versions available to consumers: Home Premium and Professional.

I don't know, I believe it is possible to install xp from the hard drive as long as you are installing it to a different partition.
