Thanks Lesley, that's much better. However, the articlehead link still goes to an unstyled XML file like http://brightkite.com/objects/d9b2513... for comments. Could you maybe chop off the "comments/xxxxx" part? The html page at http://brightkite.com/objects/d9b2513... is much more useful. Thanks again!

I've had this problem for more than a month now, but just got around to reporting it. It definitely seems related to the placemark name. If I try to placemark <http://brightkite.com/places/87607678...> as "Rockville Metro Station", it fails. If I name it "r", it fails. If I name it "rr", it succeeds.-

Can't create placemarks on iPhone web appI've had trouble creating placemarks using the iPhone web app. I think the problem only occurs when the placemark name is the same as the label.

How to posts notes at moving locations?Does anybody post notes or photos at moving locations (i.e. the bus, the metro, etc.)? I take the bus everyday and funny stuff happens on it that I like to post, but I'm not sure where to post it. (I've been posting it at the station, but it doesn't seem right.)
matthew asked a question in Brightkite on September 25, 2008 03:07:
What's the difference between a placemark name and a label?I'm not sure exactly how these two things differ. When should I use a label (123 Fake Street [Home]) vs a placemark name? Do they represent something different? For example, is the label supposed to be something meaningful to everyone and the placemark name relating it to me? Thanks.

Can I HTML?When a comment contains HTML, the HTML will be rendered correctly in the friendstream, but not on the post's page. Check it out:

Is any HTML acceptable? I'd of course prefer that it was allowed but if not, it should at least be consistent.

Can the RSS feeds be improved?I use NetNewsWire to monitor my RSS feeds (on my desktop and iPhone). I love the idea of monitoring my brightkite comments with it (as I do with other services), however, the feeds are basically useless. All I see is the comment. Nothing indicating the note that the comment is on, who left the comment, or anything. If I click on the title, instead of taking me to the comment page, I get something like this. In Safari, that XML displays as a jumble of unreadable information. Can this please be improved?
I've attached an image showing one of my note's comments in the reader.

Where's my work?Even though the street that I work on isn't yet in google maps, the correct address comes up when I do a search for the company ("HZDG") and I can check in. However, if I repeat the search and look at the place stream, none of my checkins show up up. Is there a way to get around this?
matthew replied on July 20, 2008 02:33 to the question "Hahlo iPhone native app in the works?" in Hahlo:
I love hahlo but Safari's chrome is just too much. Also, if you save a link on your home screen, it will reload the page even if it's open. What if you made an app that just wrapped the browser, had no chrome, and loaded hahlo? That wouldn't take too much time but I would address all the shortcomings of the current setup.
