Matt Baume started following the question "Can I sync To Do's with my iPhone?" in Apple.
Matt Baume reported a problem in Disqus on August 29, 2009 23:20:
Option for Disqus Settings does not appear in list of Movable Type pluginsI've downloaded the Movable Type plugin, unpacked it, and uploaded the two directories ("disqus" and "RemoteCommentsSchema") into my MT plugins directory. Now I'm looking in my list of plugins, and I see "DISQUS Comment System 2.0.6600," but I don't see an option for "Settings," so I can't change the shortname. I'm running MT 4.23-en.
Have I put something in the wrong place? A screengrab of my plugins directory is attached.
UPDATE: I figured it out! You have to go to the plugin settings for each individual blog, not the plugin setting in the overview. Confusing!

Matt Baume asked a question in twitterfeed on June 16, 2009 08:16:
How do I force Twitterfeed to shorten my links?Currently, Twitterfeed will not shorten my links -- I'm assuming because they are already very short. For example, an average link to one of my posts might look like this: http://stop8.org/#2338
You can see that these URLs don't get abbreviated when Twitterfeed sends them to Twitter: http://twitter.com/stop8dotorg
I've tried turning on and off the "shorten link" option in Twitterfeed; and I've tried switching the service from bit.ly to Digg to TinyURL, but it still won't shorten my links.
I would like Twitterfeed to abbreviate this link because the anchor name tag in the URL causes confusion in some Twitter clients. For example, some clients will think that the above URL contains the hashtag #2338, instead of that pointing to an anchor on my index page. If Twitterfeed abbreviated my link, that problem would go away.
How can I force Twitterfeed to shorten my link?-

Matt Baume replied on March 11, 2009 17:23 to the problem "RSS Feed doesn't update (grab new tweets)" in Twitter:
I'm having the exact same problem. I use FeedDemon, and the RSS feed of my followees on Twitter updates once, and then never again.
But! It works fine in Sage. So the problem probably has something to do with a clash between Twitter's authentication procedure and FeedDemon's. For now, the only fix I can suggest is using Sage in Firefox for Twitter, which admittedly isn't ideal.
I don't really see why authentication is necessary here. Twitter should just serve up a publicly-available version the feed that has protected entries stripped out.
Matt Baume replied on March 11, 2009 17:00 to the question "How can I have the Tweets of someone I follow fed into my RSS reader?" in Twitter:
Yes, but you have to do it manually, one at a time, for each person.
Just look for the "RSS feed of [username]'s updates" link on the right-hand sidebar, and subscribe to that URL in your RSS reader. The URL won't look very friendly, but your reader will know what to do with it. For example, the feed for Stop8dotorg is http://twitter.com/statuses/user_time... -- to subscribe to that, you'd copy it and then paste it in whatever you use to read RSS.
If you want an RSS feed of all of the people you follow, that's supposed to be available as well; but I've never had any luck using it. I've tried subscribing in multiple readers, and it only updates once and then never again.
Matt Baume marked one of mdy's replies in Twitter as useful. mdy replied to the question "Can I subscribe to someone's RSS feed without following?". Matt Baume and 4 other people think it's one of the best replies.
