OVI Maps 3.0 keeps loosing it's link to the map data on my N97 E: Drive. This has happened a couple of times now. Deleting the qf file does not correct the problem and neither does re-installing from the .sis file for the latest version (v3.0109wk26 b02 with Map version 0.1.22103).

I therefor think it's something within the Cities folder gettnig corrupted.

Last time I corrected the problem by re-installing OVI Maps and deleting the qf file and cities folder before re-installing map and voice data via the latest version of Nokia Map Loader.

Thanks Matt, but this is the first time this has happened on my phone (which is an N95 8Gb which has an 8Gb non removeable Mass Storage Drive rather than removeable Memory Card). As it has never happened before I am still assuming that it is the application, at present.

I use a nokia usb charger at work and my standard Nokia mains charger at home. You are right, the usb charger is slower, but a lot more compact if you have the time.

Have you tried going to the default messaging app and clicking on "Options", then "Settings", then "Other" and select "Memory in use". This allows you to choose where your messages are saved.

If you had this set to "Mass Memory" it will have defaulted back to "Phone Memory" when you updated the firmware. Change this back to "Mass Memory" and I hope you will regain access.

Please post if this works for you.

This can be solved by going to email.nokia.com, loggin in and selecting install to phone (Right Hand Side of page) This will send an sms to your phone to a version of the software which will be linked to your account.

Running Qik on N95 8Gb with latest v31 firmware. Application icon disapeared form phone although application had not be uninstalled. I assume this is a bug as it has never happened before with any other applications.
