I'm experiencing the same problem - it is really frustrating and makes me want to downgrade to the version of slife that didn't use the web. Rather than having a popup window appear that requires confirmation to close, couldn't a box slide up from the system tray icon, indicating that it disconnected that will automatically disappear and not require user input. When it logged back in a message could appear in a similar manner.

I agree - I thought it was a bug with the new update that Slife has to stay in the task bar when minimized
