Well my account has been disabled just two hours ago. I'm pissing mad so upset since I was using this as my personal fan networking, friends and family account. I had no idea there was a limit to add friends but then I had many fans request I didn't want to refuse them. Further I've seen many account with over 4000 friends, I only had 1,700 so why was my account disabled? What do I do to get them to reinstate it? Why don't they listen to what the members want we should let our voice be heard!!!!! or just start a similar site only better!

Hi there.
My account was deactivated over a week ago, and when I asked why, I got an email saying that because I have too many friends with fake accounts, they are terminating MY account. I asked them to reconsider and this was their answer-
Hi Adena,
Unfortunately, we will not be able to reactivate your account after repeated requests to remove fake profiles from your account. We apologize for the inconvenience, but this decision is final.
Thanks,

Clark hi,
This seems very unfair to me.
I have no way to know who is real and who is not, and i am the one being punished and penalized for other people having fake accounts.
As a peace worker it is important for me to accept ANYONE that requests my friendship without bias. Isn't that what Facebook is about? Connecting between people? Remember, even behind fake accounts there are real people.
As the Director of the Jerusalem International YMCA Peace Preschool i ask you to reconsider. Facebook got me in touch with peace people from all over the world, even places that might be thought as enemy countries, and that’s what my work is all about. If that fake animal account has a human behind it in Iraq or Syria, shouldn’t that be the bottom line? Striving for peace?
Thank you for listening.
Adena.
Do you have any ideas of what else I can do?? I am so very upset.
thank you so much,
Adena.

MY FB account was disabled Sep 29 08. with no reason at all. As I read this blog the only thing I tried to do was install Snap2Face application, since I got a new Windows Mobile phone. I thought it would be nice to get FB on it. Mind you Snap2Face was advertised on FB so I assumed it would be OK. If this app caused my diabled account then why does FB allow it...go figure. I have e-mail FB asking to enable the account as you suggested. I hope I do get it back.
This is annoying and I'll have to try other social webs just in case.
FB should be sensitive and professional in this aspect, while I understand the spamming issue, they should have a better process to control... innocent until proven guilty, kinda thing.
:-(

I was blocked last night for posting in a fight on Fighters Club Application. If anyone reports you maliciously for not being who you are then they *the lord god of facebook, secretly known as facebook administrator* will block you without checking who you are first. Interesting concept I think, many accounts on facebook are rogue but this is because applications do not allow you to change your persona to the character that you build up. So you risk being blocked on a day-by-day basis. Come on Facebook have a heart, we are all just having a little fun out here... don't take away our friends.

I have recently logged into facebook to learn that my account has been disabled for going over the rate limit. The last time I was on was on Monday 9/30/2008 and I did not receive any warnings from the facebook website in regards to reaching posting limits nor did I receive any warnings on going over the limit in email.
However, I did receive Facebook email updates from my friends who had commented on my facebook status and the status of other friends, but no warning from Warning@facebook.com in this email address.
I am aware that I post relevant pictures into a facebook group that was not offensive, not advertisement, and not spam. I did not post the same set of pictures to mutliple groups, and I did not receive complaints from facebook or from the group members on those pictures. Most of all, I did not post the same pictures on multiple groups with the intention to spam or annoy others.
Although I did post images, I did not receive any warnings or alerts from Facebook.com on the website or on email about the potential limits. The images (On Taiwan) I posted are related to the group (About Chinese culture) and it was not intended to be spam, but as a means to add relevant content to the newly created group. I have not been a heavy user of Facebook and this was a rare instance where I posted several pictures to help the group generate relevant content.

I got disabled today, and I am feeling really pissed off and sad.
I can't contact most of my friends from where I am, and Facebook was the only way I could talk to them for the most part.
I don't even know why I got disabled, but I feel really cut off from my social life.
Please Facebook, I just want my account back.
P.S. How long did it take any of you to get your account back?

Hey, I've been disabled from facebook just because i was sending too many friend requests. It was not my fault actually because i was only sending friend requests to the people i knew, from mutual friend's list. I ignored their two warning messages, and then today i was shocked when they disabled it. I just can't contact my friends. I am so desperate to get it back. Can anyone help me? I sent them many messages, but i got no reply... Will they ever reactivate it? Or they'll just ignore it? Oh God... what will happen next, i can't think.......
flyingman replied on September 25, 2008 09:54 to the discussion "13 Reasons your Facebook account will be disabled" in Facebook:
Alright, so mine was disabled, and I can think of a couple reasons why:
1. Spamming, sent the same message to a bunch of people in a bunch of groups.
2. Joining too many groups in a period of time.
3. All those groups that I joined didn't have admins, so I'd go in, admin myself, and then delete all members, thus deleting the group. No large groups or anything, just groups of 500 max, and groups that hadn't been used in months. That's where the messaging came from. I'd tell everyone in the group that it was being closed.
I figured it was reason 3 before, but after reading this, I'm thinking it was reason 1, and that I can still delete bunches of groups as long as I don't message anyone in them.
