On my weblog I now have a fixed HTML block with my social network sites. It would be great if I could simply include a Wordpress Widget for E in my blog that already has all the information

"You got duplicates" - but no indicator is shown on lists / no duplicates found

Soocial says: "You might have some duplicates. Have a look through your contactlist to find the duplicates. You can merge duplicates by selecting all contacts that you know are the same and click merge."

But scrolling through the lists shows the duplicate icon nowhere... are there no duplicates - or is the icon not shown?

Unfortunately it's still not working for me. I'm using 1.0b27 v4555. Although the error is now not displaying in the prefPane anymore, it's still in the logs that tehre are the same errors:

Bart, is there already an update on the Suggested Contacts issue? I'm currently seeing al my Suggested Contacts ending up in Soocial unfortunately...

Dismiss blog/error notices on "Contacts"

It's nice to see that Soocial is working on our problems and letting us know through notices on top of the Contacts page. But in practice these notices are taking up a lot of screen real estate. And also after I've seen it once I don't have to see/read it twice. So it would be nice if we could dismiss these notices.

Now Soocial indicates that I have duplicates but I have to manually go through the list to find them. Why not click the notification and show me only the duplicated records to find and edit them?

Well I've now merged all my Suggested Contacts with My Contacts. But there seems to be a problem that every contact that for some reason ended up in Suggested Contacts and was already (how?!) in My Contacts before got all their other details deleted so I needed to look up quite some phone numbers etc again :-( – Maarten den Braber, on January 27, 2009 09:52

Great to hear GMail changed their API - any idea on when this will be implemented? Currently my list is exponentiall growing with people I don't even really now and definitely don't want in my contacts....

I'm unfortunately still seeing the same problem happening at this moment. Any indication on what's causing it / when it will be fixed?

When I sync Soocial to my phone (Nokia E71) over the air (via SyncML) it only syncs my phone numbers, not e-mailaddresses. This is rather inconvenient as I also use my addressbook to mail people from my phone :-)

My Soocial contacts are not synced to GMail. When authenticating I also get two possibilities to authorized the same e-mailaddress (I use Google Apps for Domain). Is GMail sync working at the moment?
