The URLs I was trying to post don't end with an extension (like .htm, .html, .php, etc) and I suspect that's what was causing the problem. Twitter wasn't recognizing them as complete URLs.

As a workaround, I just go to TinyURL directly, make the tinyurl and the go to Twitter. Not as convenient but it works.

Hey there,

I tried to post a link in my tweets for the past two days and haven't been able to do it. I keep getting a message that my tweet is too long because of the link address. In the past, the URL has just been converted to a TinyURL.

Are TinyURLs no longer working or is there a setting I now have to turn on?

I would like to set up my account to automatically follow anyone who friends me. I know that many others are doing this but can't figure out how to do it.
